Super Animal Royale

I found this achievement pretty simple:

While in the menu choose Australia as your server, this is the 'dead' server with 5-10 players, the rest will be filled with bots that are easy to melee.

Once in the game, you will want to stalk someone and land right before they do, you can freefall by pressing X and open the parachute again using X. Once you land pick the gun up if there is one so they don't kill you with it, and switch to your Melee Weapon using LB/RB once the enemy lands you will want to hit them, then dodge using LT and hit them 3 more times. Because the melee attack damage is 33 it takes 4 hits to take someone down, getting the first hit is very important (but you can still kill them if you dodge correctly). If you want to, continue the match and try to kill more people, and if you cant just start another match.

From my experience melee goes through armor.

I've seen the other guides and thought I would write my own extensive guide and explain what I've learned. This achievement was the biggest pain for me and I realised there is no right way or wrong way to go about it, these are only tips that will hopefully help you towards the achievement.

First thing I will clearly say for anyone checking on here looking, Emu kills don't count! I've tried it, it doesn't count towards the achievement.

Secondly, if you play in squads, if you down them and they die that's the way it will count the kill, if you shoot them down and then melee them, it will count as a gun kill, not melee.

I've tried different things and they didn't work well for me but may work for you, it is partly luck and also depending on when you go in the for the melee, at the end I will explain the way that worked best for me.

So here are my suggestions:

1. Jumping out last, apparently you may find AFK (Away From Keyboard) players that the game forces them to jump and land, you can try it if you wish.
2. Hitting them with the hamster ball and quickly jumping out for the melee.
3. You can weaken them with your guns and try and get close to melee.
4. Hitting them with the Emu, jumping off then melee them.
5. Jumping out straight away, just going straight at people before they get any pick ups.
6. Jumping out straight away, wait for people to start a gun fight, rush up behind and melee them, they may have also lost health.

There are also other things you can do, you can change servers and go to less populated servers so you get more bots, play in squads so you got a team that can help and protect you and sneaking round while they fire and weaken them for you.

The best way that worked for me was going to the AS (Australia) server on solo, it is much less populated so it's mostly bots and they fight and fire in a particular way. I jumped straight away and did 5 and 6 in the suggestions and I slowly racked them up. If you die straight away don't stress and try again. This is because you stand more chance of getting melee kills at the start before everyone starts getting weapons and armour, so actually getting yourself back into a new game as soon as poissble actually may help!

Also hiding round corners can help, if someone is chasing you especially if it's a bot, they come round the corner to follow you and you can hack at them straight away. Beware of shotguns up close, as this could kill you in one hit, if you see people in a gunfight, they may be so focused on shooting each other that you can get close, I feel with bots they don't tend to start shooting at you if they're already shooting someone else, so don't shoot, just rush at them to melee. Sometimes you just got to face defeat and run away to heal if you have to, it's not impossible to get melee kills later in the match if you wanna try but obviously it's harder.

If anyone has any more suggestions that are useful I'm always willing to add them to the guide. I hope this helps anyone reading and good luck!

Achievement Walkthrough:

This is gonna be a very short guide but the best way to get this achievment was to kill the AFK players that drop from the bus. It took me about 10-20 mins to get this achievement.

You can work on this right away on the NA server with crossplay on. Right when you start the match, rapidly tap to be one of the first people off of the giant eagle. What I found was that these people usually dive straight towards the ground, land and melee fight each other. And if you're good at dodging and slashing at them, you'll be able to net 2-3 kills easily before you die or have to look for another target. So start diving by tapping once and open your parachute right before you touch the ground by tapping again, and you'll be the first one on the ground, giving you a head start in slashing at them with your sword. With this technique, you'll probably have the achievement in less than 10 matches.

Is anyone else having none of the achievements for this game track? Not a single one ofin has been moving up and I've been playing multiple games?
