To start with both players will need to be good enough to make it to the beginning of level 2. The player who picks up the first spread gun then needs to stay ALIVE until the second player picks up there spread gun. Also the guy with the Spread gun cannot pick up another weapon drop otherwise the weapon will obviously change.
Level 1: The spread gun is the second flying package that comes on screen almost right at the start of the level. (0.15 in the video)
Level 2: The spread gun is the third package that comes on screen which is just after the first two tanks that come from either sides of the screen (2.46 in the video)
Level 3: Is almost towards the end of the level where you can walk on the higher or lower logs. After you come off the logs it will be the next package that flys on screen. (4.57 in the video)

This will require you and your buddy to stay alive long enough to get both of you a spread, there is the one at the start of the game, one before the first set of turrets in level two, another just before the end of level three after the two logs part, and one is in a pack of 3 weapon flyby's in the middle of level 4.
