Enter at the title screen :
40 Lives (Starts you with 40 lives)

Enter during the Game in the Pause Menu (Push Start during Gameplay)

Method :
Go through the stage as per normal until you reach the Boss fight. When fighting the boss only shoot the eyes and let him spawn as many worms as possible. Dodge the balls while heading to the left of the screen and charge up a shot by holding.
Crouch in the left corner and shoot the charged shot in to the worms. Even using the default weapon charged will kill all the worms in a row and getting 10 to spwan takes no effort and little time even on easy difficulty.
