How to unlock the Golden Sombrero achievement in Super Mega Baseball 2 - Definitive Guide

Just pick one player in your lineup and make sure you always strike out with them. I just hammered on A as soon as the pitcher started his windup, so I was guaranteed to swing early and not accidentally hit the pitch or get a ball. As there are 27 outs total and 9 players in the lineup, each batter is guaranteed 3 at-bats, so if you use the first person in your lineup you only need to get one hit or walk throughout the rest of the game to guarantee a fourth at-bat.

This can be done in any game mode, including with 2 controllers.

For anyone looking to do this while keeping your players' stats good, like in a season, just strike out with your pitcher 4 times. It's not that hard and pitchers offensive stats are irrelevant anyway. 😆

Nice. Adding that to the solution. Thanks, yo.

How do you actually pick just one player to strike with? I kept going into substitution and trying to swap positions but don’t think that’s how you do it.

You just play normally and every time your chosen player is up to bat, strike out. I don't think it's possible to have the same player bat more than once in any given time through the order.

You literally just repeated the solution there in different words, yo. smile

Sometimes people need to hear things(or read in this case) in different words to understand them. Sometimes they need an explanation to be expanded upon. Which is what I did. [shrug] Sorry if you found it unhelpful or redundant.

It is possible to have the same batter up in the same inning it is called batting around. My record for a single inning is twice around the lineup. I had 19 batters come to bat in the 3rd inning of a game against the herbisors. @Dean when you start a game have your first batter strike out. Depending on what each batter after him does he should come up to bat again a second time by the 4th inning. Sooner if anyone on your team has reached base. Each time he comes up just have him strike out.
