I had the most success swinging at pitches higher in the zone. Lay off anything outside of the zone and time your power hitting right and this shouldn't be too hard.

I did mine in Standard season with the Moonstars on 0 ego, just by holding X and right when the pitch got there pressing down on left stick while letting go of X

I got this attempting Monster Moonshot in practice, so I think it'd be possible to also do War of Attrition in practice.
