How to unlock the Lights Out achievement in Super Mega Baseball 3 - Definitive Guide
Here is what I did, set the ego to 0, start a standard franchise, select the Sirloins, sim to the first game. Hitting is easy on ego 0, you can just swing with A and score by hitting singles and doubles, or you can use X and try hitting homers, you just have to time your wind-up with when the pitcher releases the ball.
For pitching, I just pressed A to throw the fast ball down the middle, but the trick is not to aim. This sends the ball in random places around the strike zone. On ego 0, the batters are terrible and 9 out of 10 pitches will be strikes. On the off chance a batter makes contact, it usually goes directly at an infielder for an easy out at first.
You will only need to score one run to win, so you can make the game go faster by bunting the ball when you are hitting.
This method worked for me on my first game when I wasn't actually going for this. I can't guarantee this will work for everyone on their first try, it may depend on the CPU opponent, but I would say it will definitely work eventually if you keep playing games working towards the other franchise achievements.
