I found this to be a bit harder than in previous SMB games. The ball seems to die off the bat more easily.
Create a team and edit all of the players on the roster to have 99 POW and CON.
Play an Exhibition against a poor pitching team like the Buzzards. Set Ego to 0.
I had the most success swinging at pitches higher in the zone. Lay off anything outside of the zone and just work on timing your power hitting. I found that the game is a bit more forgiving for starting the swing early and I was hitting longer shots the earlier I started winding up with X.

I recommend using Apple Field for this achievement. There is three trees at the back of the stadium, do you hit a homerun going to that trees it’s a 500 + homerun
