The mechanic of this is different than one would think.
Sign stealer works while hitting with the trait. I had figured it worked if the trait was a runner on second base. I mean, that's where I would steal a sign.
Anyway, right as the pitch is coming to your hitter with the sign stealer trait, a little cartoonish prompt comes up within the at-bat telling you fastball or offspeed and all you have to do is hit a homerun at that point.
I used Dick Allen on the Boomers while going through exhibitions for winning at every stadium. I would have batted him first if I knew earlier.
Load up your edited lineup with this trait, I'm sure you'll get it eventually.
