How to unlock the Huge Ego! achievement in Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings - Definitive Guide
This achievement was difficult but with good play and a little luck it is possible to unlock. I imagine others went for the 99 ego achievement and unlocked this as well, however I went for this one specifically.
Start a new season at 90 ego using the Sirloins (or other high power club, you'll need the hitting). I played at a profile level of 37. Immediately get as many upgrades as possible for players using the staff boosts. Higher level profiles will have more powerful upgrades but this level worked out for me. Sim to a game against a team that does not have good pitching. A good pitcher can effectively end your hopes to get any hits, and in turn you will not be able to score any runs.
Once in a game, you need to be extremely focused on both offense and defense. When pitching, try to keep all pitches to the bottom of the strike zone. This will induce weak contact and possibly ground balls and pop outs. Any fielding needs to be very accurate to both run down and catch balls in play and throw speedy runners out. Treat any baserunner as a huge threat as scoring runs to catch up will be extremely difficult. With a sound strategy, few mistakes, and a little luck you can keep the other team from scoring any runs or very few and give yourself a chance to win.
Offense will be the biggest struggle during the game. AI pitchers at this level throw the ball with tremendous speed and accuracy, and can easily fool you with breaking balls and offspeed pitches. Be patient and only try to swing at balls near your batter's eye. Reaching for a pitch or having your batter's eye off target will result in weak contact and easy outs. Try to work counts in your favor and be smart with your at bats. Working a walk is possible but does not happen all that often. On the base-paths, be risky and try to get a run across at all costs. Home runs are preferable to having to round the bases but getting enough power and good contact to drive the ball can be difficult (I only got 1 weak line drive homer in my 5 attempts at this achievement). The hardest part will be getting a lead so you have a chance to win the game.
I lost my first 4 attempts at this by the scores of 2-0, 1-0, 4-2, and 2-1. Won it in the 5th game after doubling home a runner who walked, score of 1-0.
Good luck and happy hunting!

profile 37!!!! Way to go - I just unlocked this with profile 63 and only won 1-0 with a solo HR in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs lol. Their 6 hits to my 4 hits. Hitting is very hard even with good stats. I found I got lucky with a HR but I maxed out my pitcher (Snuggs from Sirloins) with 100 - 40 - 100 but my key was a mojo of 89 and with my 6 strike outs & no runs against, I was able to keep the mojo high the whole game. I played against Wild Pigs. Your TIP for bottom of the strike zone was KEY to me winning so THANKS for that tip :-) Good luck to all as you will need it especially if you're trying this at a lower profile like this legend that made this post :-) THANKS :-)
