This trophy is called "Hello World! (Of Skills)" and it requires you purchase and apply a new Skill to a pilot during Intermission.
After the completion of the opening mission, "A Journey's Beginning," you will find yourself on the Intermission menu. Scroll down to the Upgrade menu and choose Skill Program from the sub-menu.
Choose one of the pilots to see the list of skills able to be purchased with your earned PP. Purchase a skill, select that skill once again to add it to the Pilot's Learned Skill list, then confirm the skill to unlock the trophy.
