This will probably be one of the last achievements needed.
There are multiple ways to do this , you can go into quick race and race around a track in 1 lap races , but you cannot be sure you win all the time because the A.I. can get a little ... crazy sometimes..
There is an easy way that will ensure your win and you can work towards the “arms race” for the use of 1000 power ups achievement. You do need 2 controllers for this !!
Start up quick race
Go to DEMOLITION DERBY
Play on Barbeque Havoc on the standard MEDIUM setting ( easy is also possible but not needed.
Choose a car with a higher STRENGTH rating and for the second controller choose a car with a lower STRENGTH rating and press play.
When you start the round , the second controller car will be somewhere on the right of you on the upper ring , destroy it and keep on driving because it will respawn somewhere on the other side of the ring , NEVER GET OF THE UPPER RING ! Destroy it again , drive on for about 2 seconds , make a 180 with B and destroy the car again , do this until you have 6 wrecks , the A.I. Will almost never score more than 5 points so you will have 1st place for sure.
You will still have about a minute to spare so you can drive into the pit , collect power ups and use them immediately so you can have a couple of power ups towards your arms race achievement.
When the round finishes , just press REPLAY ( Y ) to restart the exact race and repeat.
No skill or effort required , just some time.

I found it much easier to do a "Clean Race" on "Nursery Mayhem" with an upgraded car. Put it on Easy with Laps set to 1. Takes about 35 seconds to do a race and then just rinse and repeat.

Yea do what FueledOne did. The mode I never won on was demolition derby. A clean race or regular race (if you still need the power ups achievement) is easy with an upgraded car.
