This is the way i did it
Go to any drinks machine and choose a drink (doesnt matter what one)
Make it bigger and look up
Try to drop it as high as you can (preferably so it hit the ring pull end)
It should land and burst the can, spraying its contents everywhere

Raising it up above my head and dropping it worked first time thanks! Did it in the first few missions, where there is a soda machine in a side room. I dropped it in the main room though, where the ceiling is higher.

Previous guide is probably better but I popped this way later: toward the end (sorry for spoiler) you have to grab the moon from outside a skylight above in a large room with moon pictures all over the walls. There are four items attached to the moon. Once you grab the moon and bring it closer, you can grab a soda can off of the moon. Raise it high above you and drop it. It should explode and pop this achieve. (So if you missed all the soda machines on the way to this area, don't worry, there is a soda can on the moon.)
