Very easy, finish a race in first with part of your cars damage red. (n.b i believe its first place, thats when mine came through)
You must turn damage on in the options.. :-)
I only had my steering red all of my other parts were ok so you dont need the full car to be destroyed...

Thanks for the solution, just so you know i had red steering also. Finished in last place and still got the achievement.
To get this I hit the wall on the first chicane you come to on the monza track then just drove to the finish line.
