How to unlock the Firestorm achievement in Supreme Commander - Definitive Guide
I Found a very quick way to get this
1. what you need to do is in the campaing you can do it either in the uef or aeon campaing set it to easy if you want
2. create 5 nuke silos and wait till you got 5 nukes on each.
3. save your game once you have all your nuke silos full
4. fire all nukes until youre out you should have 25..
6. save your game on a different file
7. exit the game
8. reload the game on the save when you still had all your silos full
9. repeat steps 4 to 8 until you get the achievement.!
found this by mistake but with this method you can get the firestorm rather quickly even when going for the campaings.
this method also works for the killing ACU achievement just save the game right before you kill a ACU kill it, end the mission reload and kill it again.. the game will register it always as a new kill. i dont recommend doing this if you are going to 1000 gs on this game since you will get more than 100 commander kills doing all the other achievements

This is easily done when going for the Economy of Grand Scale: Mass achievement. While you are idling and letting your mass accumulate simply build 5 or so nuke silos and when they are complete shoot them into a unoccupied area, my suggestion is way out at sea. Click out into the water about 100 times so that all the nukes will fire on their own instead of you having to manually target each one now they will fire immediately after a new nuke is built. After all 5 are built you should unlock this achievement before you've unlocked the Economy of Grand Scale: Mass achievement.
I'm so excited about the little glitch I found!
It's extremely simple, when you have a nuke silo built, every-time you press the button to fire a nuke, it counts, even if you don't have a nuke to fire, or you just fired a nuke and it's still cooling down! I recommend firing at least one nuke, and then spamming the nuke fire button(don't forget to count!). You should be able to do this without even firing a nuke if the glitch works how I think it does!
I discovered this when I was going for the nukes, I reloaded the game and noticed that I had fired more than I meant too---using 5 nuke silos, I fired over '280' nukes according to the loading screen stats, when in reality only about 105 nukes got fired. ENJOY!!!!
Oh, also, when you think you have enough, save your game--the achievement should pop when you save the game, otherwise finish the game to get it to pop!
(as with all SC1 solutions, don't forget that if your game crashes, putting it on slowest and zooming in all the way seems to help with freezing--I personally found that holding out on the right stick seemed to get it to freeze less--when it finished saving, the screen would be completely zoomed out--and I seemed to get less freezing )
