How to unlock the The Positronic Man achievement in Surviving Mars - Definitive Guide
You'll need the Positronic Brain breakthrough. Since there are 60+ possible breakthrough technologies, you can only discover 20 of them in any one playthrough, and you have no control over which ones you discover, it may well take you several playthroughs to discover it. Note that the Creative Biorobitics (biotech) research and the Biorobitcs Lab building have nothing to do with this achievement; the positronic brain is the key.
You must also research Drone Printing on the robotics column and build a Drone Assembler building. Once you have this building completed and staffed and you have researched the positronic brain, simply order a biorobitic colonist in the assembler, and when it's finished, this achievement will unlock.
Don't forget about:

Don't forget about:
The Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? achievement in Surviving Mars worth 23 pointsHave a Dome populated by at least 50 Biorobot Colonists
This achievement is still possible. After tonnes of playthroughs I still couldn't find the breakthrough "The Positronic Brain" tech to get started on building biorobots.
The way I sped things up was to start a new game with the leader that grants immediate access to deep scanning, combined with the game rules: choas theory and quick scanning. You can add any other game rules that generally speed things up (without disabling achievements) to help you get the 50 biorobots down the track as well. Also having a relatively flat map helps keep your first explorer rover getting around to scan all the anomalies you'll be discovering.
After about 30 minutes of non stop scanning (not using probes) you will have deep scanned the entire map and uncovered a big chunk of the breakthrough anomalies you'll unlock in that run. If you haven't found the necessary breakthrough tech after that, select restart map, rinse and repeat until you find the tech.
Once you've research the breakthrough technology, very simple to build a biorobot at a drone printer. Goodluck.

Just wait until you find the Positronic Brain breakthrough on a playthrough and build a biorobot in your drone assembler. The only hard part is the luck of finding the breakthrough. It took me 5 playthroughs to finally get it.
To Be Able To Build These Guys, You Must Research The Breakthrough Technology Associated With It.
- There Are Only 19 Available Breakthroughs Per Game. (Out Of 55 Total)
If You Don't Get It, You Must Start Again, At A Different Starting Location.
- Starting At The Same Location Or Restarting Your Current Map, Just Gives You The Same 19, But In A Randomized Order.

This breakthrough technology is not so easy to find, I will save you a lot of time) look for a map with coordinates 9C°176B°, scan sector E9.

Correction - sector F9 -) found a positronic brain there

I found it at coordinates 13 N 114 E on the planet, a friend explored the entire map at the same coordinates and did not find it, but found it on an orbital expedition.
The location of the breakthrough may change, so do not pay attention to the prompts "look in sector E9".
