How to unlock the Explorer achievement in Surviving the Aftermath - Definitive Guide

Pretty simple. Choose a scout as one of your starting specialists to speed things up. While in the colony view, press Y to select the scout at the top of the screen, then press RB to switch panels, and finally press A on "send to world map". Then go to the world map, select the scout, then select an undiscovered area. After a couple days, return to the world map and click on the scout to discover the zone.

Can't send without a Gate, can't build a gate without resources that I don't know how to get. This guide is only useful for people who know how to play the game, and people who know how to play the game will already know how to do this. Shrug.
