do the horribly annoying matching game and match six of the orange pieces. it's extra difficult due to the awful art, just take your time and think three dimensionally. sadly it's random every time so a guide won't help. after you match the pieces and get the fire scroll, 1 to continue. If you've already beaten this in a previous playthrough you can press Y to skip it and get the Fire Scroll, then press 1 to continue

another stupid mini-game, this one you just have to rotate the tetris pieces to make a path for your character to reach the X on the right side of the screen. pretty easy though there is a timer that'll kill you if you don't finish in time. If you've beaten this on a previous playthrough you can press X to skip this
