I used the site walkthrough for the entire game but realised afterwards that this achievement had not popped. Sadly there is no chapter select in Syberia 3, so I had to start a new play through and get back to this point in the story.
On the original playthrough, following the walkthrough and finding the walkie talkie and after using it on the guards in reception I picked the dialogue option " there is a riot upstairs". For some reason this did not trigger the achievement.
Second time round I selected "come quick" and the achievement popped no problem.
