How to unlock the Dedication is Power achievement in Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master! - Definitive Guide

Note: For those looking to complete the game before it leaves Game Pass at the end of January 2023, it's still possible to earn this achievement! Please scroll down to the final paragraph to see how.

Simply log in and play at least one song to the end in single-player mode for 30 consecutive days (Edit: I can personally confirm it's just 30 cumulative days as I missed 3 days and still unlocked the achievement after playing my 30th day).

Each day starts at midnight (12 AM) for your local time. Try not to get it confused with the shop item refresh which happens at 5 AM local time.

Personally, I would recommend going for the 90 bonus songs achievement (titled Thanks for the meal!) while going for this achievement as there are three bonus songs you can play each day (marked with an 8-point star to the right of the song title). If you play all three bonus songs for 30 days straight then you'll unlock both achievements on the same day.

For those looking to complete this achievement in a single day, you can change your system clock to a different date (easiest done on a PC) to get this achievement without having to wait the 30 days. I believe the other guides go into more detail on how to do this if you're unsure how to change the system clock.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Just a note, the shop actually reset for me at 5am GMT, so it seems to be region-based.

@El Moono 360, it's too early to tell since the game just released but based on the description I would assume it's 30 consecutive days

@TehJofus Thanks for letting me know!

I've updated the guide for added clarity!

I don't think you can alter the date and time offline for this. If someone can confirm otherwise, I'll update the guide.

I agree with you allstar738 on D City Rock cheating. I looked at his time played, and it clearly isn't legit.

also how can you unlock the meta-achievement for unlocking all achievos without unlocking one other achievo totally agree the guy cheated.

@TheAlphaSeagull: I don't want to argue about cheating in this case but it is actually possible to unlock the "all achievement" achievements in some games due to programming errors. Either there is a way to increase the internal counter without actually earning achievements or the unlock criteria is hard coded wrong due to a mistake. For example the game has 50 achievement but originally the "platinum" was coded to 48.

Just going to point out that the best way to tell if your game has changed days is to check the Bonus songs they update with the day change.

Unlike the shop (5am), this achievement tracks immediately at 12am. I've tested it daily and the achievement progress increases at 12am every time I complete a song and view the result.

@CpL KaNe ZA, I can confirm it is indeed cumulative after unlocking it last night. I'm not sure if this is a glitch that hasn't been fixed but I would definitely finish this sooner than later in case Bandai Namco decides to actually make it 30 consecutive days.

Wait, it isn't consecutive days? Haha. I just did day 29 consecutive legit and now see this. Ugh. Oh well, 12am tomorrow and I'm 1000GS.

EDIT: Because I don't need to worry about messing it up as it's not consecutive, I just changed my clock one day ahead and unlocked this and the All Achievements one.

Can confirm that it doesn't have to be 30 consecutive days, just 30 different days.

This does not work for me.
I tried everything.
If I close the game and change the date the game won't launch. NONE of my gamepass games would launch. If I left the game open and change the date, the game would either crash or just close.

That's because it Gamepass does not give us the ability to own just to rent. If you want to use the change your clock method it's better to own the game

Easy Method on PC (not tested on Console should probably also work on Xbox One/Series)

1. Play One Song view the result
2. Back to the title Screen or exit the game
3. Change your windows date settings manually for example: Feb.15 5:10 AM, Play one song view the result (or the bonus songs they also reset) and do the same again for another date Feb.16, Feb.17...until you have your 30 days

I havent tested it on console, but it should also work by changing the date in the settings.

on Console? I did it on PC, played the three bonus songs, back to the title screen, just changed the date in windows 10 manually, back to the game, the bonus songs reset and the Viewed Taiko Mode results achievement progress tracker gone up. I repeat it until i got the achievement also good for getting coins from the bonus songs

Dedication is Power (20g) *Secret* - Viewed Taiko Mode results for the last 30 days.
This Achievement requires you to view the results screen of a song on 30 different days. As far as I can tell this does not need to be 30 consecutive days, but if anyone has experienced any differently please let me know! I will test this soon and update you accordingly.

It’s worth noting that you do not have to actually finish a song to get credit for this Achievement. By changing your settings to turn on ‘Perfect Mode’, causing you to fail upon missing the first note of the song, you can get progress towards this Achievement each day a little quicker, as failing counts as "Viewing Taiko Mode results".

Press cn_start(Start) whilst choosing a difficulty for any song, choose “Perfect” under the “Special” option, and press cn_A to confirm. This mode will automatically fail upon missing a note.

The reset time for this Achievement is 12am in your local Time Zone. Whatever Time Zone your console is set as the game will consider it a new day after 11:59pm turns into 12:00am. With this in mind, we have two different approaches to this Achievement:

>>> Method One: As Intended: 30 Days

As mentioned above, the game accepts that a new day has started when your console switches over to 12:00am. Therefore, as long as you play a song anytime within those 24 hours, you will get credit for that day.

Do this on 30 separate days and you will have your Achievement!

>>> Method Two: Time Zone Method - 30 Hours

With the knowledge that the day ‘changes’ at 12am, we can use the Xbox’s built-in ability to swap Time Zones as a way to manipulate our console’s time to help us get this done quicker.

Xbox allows you to quickly change your Time Zone via Settings > System > Time > Time zone. We can set our timezone so that our clock displays a time before 12am, most conveniently sometime between 11:00pm and 11:59pm, and simply wait for the clock to change over to 12am while we have the game open. This will require waiting for the time to actually pass and will only speed up the Achievement so much.

The process you will need to follow is as such:
> Close the Game (Start on the Game Tile and Close)
> Go to your Settings > System > Time > Time zone
>> Change your Time Zone so that your Xbox Clock becomes any time before 12am
>>> Load the game back up and wait for the time to pass over to 12am
>>>> Finish or Fail a song to view the results screen
You will know this has worked as your Achievement Progress will raise by 3% upon viewing the results screen. As you are changing the timezone, rather than the time itself, you will have to wait for the time to pass over, meaning you are limited to doing this method once every hour. There are some Timezones that are offset by 30 minutes, allowing you to potentially work towards this slightly quicker depending on your own timezone and how convenient these alternate timezones are.

Example: If it is 5:32pm in your country, you change the Time Zone so that the time is now 11:32pm. You will then have to wait the additional 28 Minutes while the game is open for the date to change over and for the 'new day' to register. Then play a song.

PC ONLY - Working Apr 20.

Can get this and "play 90 bonus songs" easily. Might want to leave until last tho, my game failed to start 4 times after but its fine now, all my progress and cash was saved.

Open the game normally, and filter to bonus songs, and turn on perfect mode and play the first 2/3.

When the third song starts, hit pause, change your Windows date to the next day, tab back to the game, finish the song or fail with perfect, and you should get the next days' 3 bonus songs when you get back to song select.

Repeat 30 times. EZ.
