How to unlock the Drum Master achievement in Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master! - Definitive Guide
To earn this achievement you do not need to successfully finish a song - you just need to see the results page of the song being played.
To quickly go through these play "x" times achievements you can turn on the "Special - Perfect" option and choose a song that has a note in / near the beginning (for time save) and miss the first note, which results in the song failed and results screen showing up. I used the song, "Hated by Life" in the Vocaloid Music filter.
*To turn on the option: after selecting a song hit the "start" button to pull up the song options menu. the special option will be at the bottom and your options to choose from will be "Off > Auto > Perfect > Spartan" - make sure to choose Perfect*
The Perfect option will fail the song immediately upon first "Bad" note achieved in the song.
The tracker updates as it should normally and these fail runs will count towards the progress for the amount of plays you need - in this case 500 :)
Might be able to use a turbo controller to idle this - i do not have one to test this out though
This is an alternative quicker method than to just play through 500 songs fully.

Given how grindy the game is, you're likely better off saving this method for later.

Ssj Sean, tear a corner off a piece of paper and fold it over on itself about 3 times and push it down the side of the button then press the button. The friction hold the button in. It's what slot players do in Vegas haha.
