After purchasing all instruments in the shop, you will end up with 50 instruments (including the default "Drum" you start with, "Silent" may also be included at the beginning). Because of this, you will need at least 300x49 (14700, 14400 if "Silent" was free) coins to purchase all instruments.
The shop supplies 7 instruments at a time, so if you wanted to refresh the shop to buy all of the instruments in one go instead of waiting for the daily refresh, you will need an extra 6x1000 (6000) coins. This will require a maximum grand total of 20700 coins to complete this achievement.

You do start with Silent. You actually start with 5 instruments, so based on this solution I'm guessing you only need to buy 45
