How to unlock the Elite Vanguard, Again achievement in Tales of Arise - Definitive Guide
I would suggest first getting the very easy difficulty DLC. It's free and you have to redeem it again if you used it in the base game.
This boss is level 99 and has 2 phases with full health bars. If you are prepared enough, it isn't too tough of a fight. Get as close to level 100 as you can and unlock all skills for each character. You should have enough SP before finishing the story. The weapons you must craft for the "Arms Master" achievement will help as well.
**Leveling will be grindy unless you have 5-10 levels from DLC packs you can redeem near the end of your leveling. Higher levels take longer to rank up, so don't spend those free levels too soon if you have them.
Once you are leveled, rest at a campsite or inn and eat something with high +attack.
Boss fight:
I pretty much kept away from the boss to keep from getting hit too hard. I spammed boost attacks (D-pad attacks) for the other characters. When Alphen was ready, I ran in and used his boost attack close to the boss and it staggers them almost every time. I had the skill "Destruction" mapped to X and spammed that when the boss was down. If you get too close and the boss winds up their sword attack, spam RT to roll away and go back to just using boost attacks. At 50% and 0% of each phase you will need to run up to the boss and do a normal attack to get the prompt for a finishing boost strike.
The second phase has the boss charging at you and doing jump swipes. Watch for these moves and roll out of the way when necessary and keep the same strategy. When the boss does a purple beam attack, you have time to run in and spam destruction for a few hits.
I tried the fight at level 100 with less than half of the skills unlocked and starting weapons and I was unable to finish the fight. With about 75% of the skills unlocked I was able to beat the boss but was downed a few times as were the other characters just under 14 minutes. I fought the boss after the story with everything unlocked and better weapons and didn't get downed once and finished it in less than 7 minutes.

The difficulty in Training Grounds is always brought up to Normal if you're playing on Story or Very Easy, so downloading the Very Easy difficulty pack isn't gonna help.

Just as in the main game the Ultimal Group training ground fight is against a Level 99 Sword Ranker, it is recommended to attempt this after obtaining the Ryugola Core Fragment weapons for your characters and be around level 90.
The "Ultimate" group challenge is a new option in the Viscint Training Grounds. You begin the DLC at Level 65, and will likely easily get to high 80's or low 90's finishing the story and all sub-quests. There's really no reason to try this prior to completing all the other achievements, as the levels and SP you get from completing quests will give you a much better fighting chance, plus you need to create all the best weapons for another achievement as well. Once this is the last achievement left, it should be a fairly simple fight - especially if you drop the difficulty down to Story (or Very Easy if you've downloaded that free DLC pack from the marketplace).
This fight ended up being much harder than I expected. You will fight two difficult monsters back to back with no way to restore your CP. My first attempt I did not prepare much and ended up running out of CP to heal and dying with about 25% left on the second monster. I then crafted a few accessories that decrease CP usage for Shionne and Rinwell and accessories to boost defense for Alphen and Law. That ended up making the difference and I was able to defeat them with about 200 CP to spare on the second attempt.
