Tales of Berseria

Raise all titles from all characters to level 2. This is one of the most time-consuming trophies in this game. A title is on level 2 when it has three skills unlocked out of four which you can check in the equipment. Unlocked skills are coloured in white. Every character has nineteen Standard Titles and four character exclusive titles, so 23 in total. Many of the titles will level up naturally over the course of the story and by clearing side quests, but there will very likely still be a few you have to pay attention to. When you play the game, look at the titles and their level up conditions, then you can work on them alongside working on the other trophies, especially stuff like using Mystic Artes or controlling different characters. The more you can cross off beforehand, the less of a grind you will have later when this trophy is one the last you still have to earn. Actions the CPU controlled characters do like for example using artes will count for this trophy.

Standard Titles

1. Level Title 1: Reach Level 40
2. Level Title 2: Reach Level 50
3. Level Title 3: Reach level 60
4. Basic Artes Title: Use basic artes 5,000 times
5. Advanced Artes Title: Use advanced artes 2,500 times
6. Break Soul Title: Use Break Souls 1,000 times
7. Mystic Arte Title: Use Mystic Arte 250 times
8. Controlled Character Title: Control character x 150 times in battle (300 times with Velvet)
9. Enemies Defeated Title: Defeat 2,500 enemies with character x
10. Combo Title: Defeat an enemy with at least 40 hits 40 times
11. Weakpoint Title: Hit an enemy's weakness 500 times
12. Stun Title: Stun an enemy 50 times
13. Ailment Title: Get hit with an ailment 200 times (70 times with Laphicet, 100 times with Eizen)
14. Switch Blast Title: Use a Switch Blast with character x 50 times
15. Evasion Title: Avoid an attack from an enemy just in time 400 times
16. Soul Title: Crush 2,500 souls
17. Item Drop Title: Enemy who defeated dropped an item 200 times
18. Master Skill Title: Learnt 50 Master Skills
19. Equipment Title: Equipped equipment that have a combined strengthened amount of 30

Mystic Artes and Break Souls can be farmed easily with the mini game Slash Beat. You always start with 3 BG and have 15 seconds time to defeat the dummy enemy. Spam Break Souls as much as you can, then repeat the mini game. For Mystic Artes, there is an even quicker option. Attack the dummy enemy once, then press to activate the Mystic Arte. Once the animation of the Mystic Arte is over, restart the mini game with and the Mystic Arte counter will go up by 1. You do not even have to finish the mini game which means you can get about 5-6 Mystic Artes per minute.

For the Combo Title, you can also use the Slash Beat mini game, since you need to do the 40 hits yourself. In regular battles, defeating enemies with 40+ hits does not always count since there may be hits from other characters. In the Slash Beat mini game, you can repeatedly use one arte with a character and gain 40+ hits in the time limit. End the fight with a Mystic Arte if you still need credit for the Mystic Arte title. See the following list for a recommended arte to do this:

• Velvet: Defiant Conviction
• Rokurou: Form 7: Rapid Bolt
• Laphicet: Arctic Peals
• Eizen: Deceiving Pummel
• Eleanor: Hexa Strike

For Magilou, you can use the Mystic Arte Chain with her Third Mystic Arte as the last one or use the combo that you can find in the description of the Making a Mint trophy.

For the Weakpoint title, you have to hit every single weakness an enemy has for it to count, not just one weakness. For this, you also have to play on Normal Difficulty or above since the Weakness system is disabled on Easy difficulty. Many enemies have multiple weaknesses, so this is hard to get naturally. You can set in the Tactics that the CPU controlled characters always aim for weaknesses, but this is likely still not enough. There is a boar enemy in Gaiburk Ice Field that only has the Beast attribute as weakness. You can set artes that have the Beast attribute and attack it. You do not have to defeat it for the hits to count, and you can attack it with the same arte over and over again to have more attacks. Set your game to Chaos difficulty to raise its HP and to be able to get more hits.

For the Controlled Character Title, you can set each character to Manual in your party even if you are playing alone. This way each won battle will count towards all four characters, not just the one you are controlling.

For the Enemies Defeated Title, you can clear Class 4 Administrative Zones over and over. Set your other party members to Defend so that they do not attack. Alternatively, you can do the Chamballoon mini game over and over, preferably stage 5, as the balloons will count towards this title.

For the Evasion Title, set your characters to Defend and let the enemies attack you. The characters should avoid the attacks automatically.

For the Equipment Title, various combinations will count. For example if you have a weapon with +10, you need to split the remaining +20 on the other four pieces of equipment. You should focus strengthening rings and footwear since every character can equip them, so that you do not have to strengthen individual weapons so often that only count for one character.

Velvet-Only Titles

• Play Time Title: Play Time reaches 50 hours
• Battle Time Title: Cumulative Time spent in battle reaches 5 hours
• Menu Time Title: Cumulative Time spent in the menu reaches 5 hours
• Battle Amount Title: Fought 1,200 battles

Rokurou-Only Titles

• Dismantle Title: Dismantled equipment 400 times
• Strengthen Title: Strengthened equipment 200 times
• Strengthened Amount Title: Strengthened amount of an equipment reaches +6
• Learnt Skill Title: Discovered 240 skills. Random skills from equipment count also for this, so buy equipment from shops and hope you get a new skill you have not seen before, or fight battles for example in the various Class 4 Administrative Zones in different difficulties as skills on equipment can vary. The progress for this title does not carry over to a new playthrough so you have to discover the skills in a single playthrough.

Laphicet-Only Titles

• Enemy Type Title: Encountered 100 types of enemies
• Consumption Item Title: Found 45 kinds of consumption items or materials
• Equipment Book Title: Registered 100 pieces of equipment in the Equipment Book
• Expedition Title: Used Expedition 60 times

Eizen-Only Titles

• Grade Title: Earned a cumulative total of 3,000 Grade
• Fast Battle Finisher Title: Finished a battle within a short time 400 times
• Daemon Title: Defeated 10 daemons
• Dire Foe Title: Defeated 10 dire foes

Magilou-Only Titles

• Gald Spent Title: Spent a cumulative total of 500,000 Gald in shops
• Equipment Bought Title: Bought a cumulative total of 100 pieces of equipment in shops
• Shop Rank Title: Shop Rank reached level 7
• Sell Title: Sold an item for at least 10,000 Gald

Eleanor-Only Titles

• Treasure Chest Title: Opened 120 treasure chests
• Herb Title: Collected 80 herbs
• Walking Distance Title: Walked 200,000 meters on the map
• Skit Title: Watched 250 skits
