During the fight with Baitojoh, the giant fish will dive into the ground and stick his fin up for a short animation, the fin will move forward, then the fish will spring back up. This is his Ice Edge attack.
The objective of the secret mission is to hit the fin three times when he does Ice Edge which will flip him over and out of the ice. Use long ranged attacks or multiple hitting attacks to try and hit the fin.
Since the fish likes to sometimes do a stun attack when he pops up out of the water, stun resist accessories might help you if you wanna use melee attacks.
Using Rita helps a lot with this one. I've gotten it to complete using her Splash and Violent Pain moves. Yuri's Shining Fang works good too. Basically anything that is multi hitting should work. I've had the most success with longer ranges spells though.
You will see Great!!! on the screen when you complete the mission. Set your party members on Defend if you're worried you will kill the boss.
