How to unlock the Secret Mission 6 achievement in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide

Near impossible to do this without being Raven, or using a second controller to position him. Raven has an ability called Serpent which places a red trap on the ground that lasts for maybe 5 seconds. At about half health the Gigalarva will head for the big puddle in the battlefield. After reaching it, the tail arcs over and stabs into the pool, sucking up the water for a ton of health.

So to counter that, you'll want to place the trap near the center of the puddle. If the tail stabs it, you'll knock over the boss. Once you've achieved this goal, he will be stunned and "Great!" will appear in the center of your screen. After the battle the achievement will pop.

Raven's Serpent arte will place a small glyph on the ground, and you need to time this and aim this to where the boss will try to drink from the small pool of water in the middle of the battle arena. You can place a few of them at the same time, so it's not too difficult. After the boss has lost enough health, you may need to switch your allies to "Defend" until you're successful or else they'll just kill it.
