How to unlock the Smarty-pants achievement in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide

To start this achievement, go to the Nam Cobanda Island gym (located in the upper left hand corner of your world map) after the final dungeon appears and talk to a Kow on the lower middle of the gym in front of a bunch of books to see a scene with Rita.

Now you gotta go collect some books, located at:
1) Halure's Mayor's House
2) Fortune Market HQ at Torim Harbor
3) Knight's HQ in Heliord
4) Mantaic's Inn
5) Flynn's House in Aurnion.

Return to the Kow at Nam Cobanda Island with the books collected to start a quiz.

The answers to the quiz are:
1) September 30, 1998
2) Raine Sage
3) Bubbles
4) Presea Combatir
5) Ishtar turns to stone.

You'll unlock the achievement and title for Rita after you answer all the questions correctly.

It looks like both versions of the game use the ntsc version now - I had the US questions despite living in a PAL region.

Ah thanks for confirming that. I don't live in a PAL region so I ripped this from old notes. Will update to reflect that.

Talk to the Kowz boy in the gym on Nam Cobanda Island behind a desk to start a side-quest to gather five books. They are located in Halure's Mayor's House, Fortune Market HQ at Torim Harbor, Knight's HQ in Heliord, Mantaic's Inn, and Flynn's House in developed Aurnion. After getting all five, return and he will give you a test. The answers are: September 30, 1998, Raine Sage, Bubbles, Presea Combatir, and Ishtar turns to stone.

Note: You can only take this test once, so save before just in case you make a mistake!

To gain access to the quiz, you need to talk to one of the carovs in the gymnasium building, standing at a table, next to a semicircle of 3 tables. We receive an examination application and a task to search for 5 books:
1) City covered with flowers - City of Flowers Halur - the book is located in the mayor's residence on the nightstand to the left of the table.
2) Reflections on the scent of the sea - Port of Capua Torim - bookcase in the headquarters of the Fortune Market guild.
3)City planning of bustling settlements - Growing city of Heliord - bookcase in the second room of the knights' headquarters.
4) A legend hidden in the fiery desert - Oasis in the Mantayk desert - a bookcase in the Antares tavern.
5) Against the backdrop of new hope - Land of Hope Ornion - headquarters, chest of drawers on the left.
After receiving all the books, we return to the Abode of Happiness Nem-Kobanda and begin taking the exam.
