How to unlock the Ahhh, Memories achievement in Tales of Vesperia - Definitive Guide

This can be either really easy, or very difficult. First, you must activate a series of sub-events. Follow me.

~BEFORE you go to Zaude, go to Pharaoh's Crag.

~Talk to the Sage in Yormgen, here his story. For safe measures, spend the night at his house by talking to him again.

~Once you beat the game (save your game complete data in a completely different slot), reload your data and go back to the illusion of Yormgen and talk to the Sage (quicker to save a separate file BEFORE you go to the Castle).

~Fly over Danghrest (you may actually need to go into Danghrest, thanks iheartslampigs), and watch a little skit. Fly to the West, and around that area, a portal will open, go inside (have as many items as possible, even though the voice says you won't be able to leave, you will be able to after the first boss battle).

You will now go from area to area, fighting powerful monsters and collecting fake Gald. You must acquire 15 fake Gald to fight the final boss. This can be time consuming, you might get 3 or 4 in one run, but only 1 another, so you'll need to be patient.

Another tip, all portals lead to the same area, so you can Google Labyrinth of Memories map and get a good idea of what bosses are where, useful since all bosses are Labyrinth versions, meaning they have their own slot in the monster book.

Some good strategies are to simply be at a high level. I was at level 110 at the final fight, and it was very easy.

I had to enter Dahngrest rather than just fly over. Other than that, excellent solution.

Thanks, updated. If I remember correctly, it has to be the entrance you came in during your first visit, over the bridge, or can it be either entrance? Been awhile since I played. If anyone can clarify, that'd be great.

If it was easy at 110, then I'm going to breeze through it. I'm using the Brutal giganto monster level up method and in 15 hours of AFK'ing, managed to get to level 157 from roughly 65-70 on my first playthrough. I'm going for level 200 on this one and should be done in about 6 or 7 hours.

Yeah, I ran through at 200 and it was ridiculously easy.

Spent 23 hours straight on AFK levelling and made it to level 188. I had a brainfart and forgot to turn on EXP Share for Rita, Karol, and Raven when I checked at the time of my last posting. So now I have to go through and do some more for them, since the 200-man melee will be hella easy at level 200.

That had to suck.

This dungeon will be available after you finish the game at least once. Before going to Zaude on your first play of the game, revisit Phaeroh's Crag to find a rift that will take you back to the illusion of Yormgen. Talk to the Sage and agree to sleep in his house. From there, go ahead and continue to play and beat the game, then save in a new slot. Once you load that save (it will have a star on it now) you will be just before the final boss but it will have recognized that you beat the game. You can continue working on side-quests and this dungeon will now be available by returning to the illusion and getting a book from the Sage. From there, visit Dahngrest for a scene and then fly west toward Yumanju for another scene. Enter the glowing orb on the islands south of Yumanju to access the dungeon.

To actually clear the dungeon you will need 15 Fake Gald to enter the final room and face off against the Traitor to Heaven. Once you have defeated him you will leave the dungeon, get a short scene and the achievement. To get the Fake Gald, open all the treasure chests (which will be locked until all enemies in the room are killed) and kill bosses. It may take a few runs of the dungeon to get the 15 Fake Gald needed. You may sometimes only get one or two, other times four or five.
