"Ice Edge" is when he dives under the ice and you see his fin for a few seconds. It's kind of hard to hit, as the targeting system seems to go squirrely as the fin is sticking out.

You actually cannot target the fin directly which makes this achievement a bit tougher than some of the other missions. I used Rita in my party with Champagne set to a right thumbstick action and once Baitojoh starts to dive, just spam the attack. At some point her spell will kick off at the same time that he dives, and should almost immediately knock him out of the water.

Actually you can target the fin. when it goes under the ice your controls are reversed. just push in the opposite direction of the fin and youll run right to it.

Just spam Rita's Champagne arte nonstop when he's under the ice and you'll get it by the end of the battle. Don't try to time your attack because the casting time makes that too difficult. Just use Champagne until he flops on the ice and you get the "Great" message on-screen.
The, Pants, Party
Once the full group is in the fight, wait for the beast to go below the ice with its fin sticking out and strike it to knock it back onto the ice without letting it do its arte attack. While it was under, I found it easiest to hold LT and go into free run, then do a sort of fly-by attack when the fin popped out. You might also try using Ghost Wolf since it is a dash attack.
