How to unlock the Secret Mission 3 achievement in Tales of Vesperia - Definitive Guide

There are 4 or so billybally plants near the edge of the battle. Lure Gattuso near one and then strike the plant (preferably at a distance). When Gattuso is unconscious, strike it to qualify for the achievement.

This achievement is difficult at times and not sure how to lure the boss towards these plants.

Reaching into the recesses of my memory, try hitting him with a strong attack to get him to focus on a character, then get that person near the plant.

Apparently I have struck the Plant and stunned him and still have yet to get this achievement.

Okay I have just found out. I was playing the game on easy just to get a feel for the game. All of the 'Secret Mission' achievements must be done on either normal or hard Battle mode.

So for anyone else that was about to break their controller trying to beat this something you can do is go into the game settings and change the difficulty to easy. This is done by pausing with y and using the far right tab "Save and Load". I have no idea why the walk through doesn't mention this as an option. The problem with doing this is that you don't get a grade for battles when playing on easy however if you're frustrated enough it's a good option. On easy I got this first try after failing for over an hour.

Right away, target and kill the two smaller wolves. Then, target one of the three plants to get your party attacking it (set the battle plan for everyone to "same enemy" for their targets), which will lure the wolf in close to it. Stand back and use your normal Azure Edge arte and hit the plant. It will expell some gas and knock him over.
