Just another quick note that people may or may not find helpful: Once he has used everything you will get a little great scene(just like every other secret mission) so if you haven't seen that then don't kill him yet.

Flynn's attacks are as follows:


Sword Rain: Alpha
First Aid (Healing)
Guardian Field (Healing)
Dragon Swarm
Tiger
Demonic Chaos
Demon Fang
Tiger Blade
Sonic Thrust
Holy Lance
Demonic Circle
Radiant Dragon Fang (Mystic Arte)

Make sure he uses each and every one of them, then defeat him. Easy achievement.

If you use your own Mystic Arte, Flynn will automatically counter with his (interrupting yours).

You should ideally attack him down to about 50% health, where he will hopefully use his whole arsenal of attack artes. Trigger your Mystic Arte which will then cause him to use his own. Lastly attack him down to 20% health or less so that he uses his healing artes.

I think the one labelled "Tiger" should actually be "Beast". I've not seen him use Tiger, but he's been using Beast a lot.

Rhyolitic is correct. There is no arte called Tiger, but there is one called Beast.

When in the storyline is this secret mission? I know you fight him two times at least, so I'm not entirely sure when to expect this secret mission.

Just to verify, you HAVE to use your Mystic Art or he will never use his. I fought him for 20 minutes before I found that tidbit of info. So you will need Trio Limit as well as learning the "Special" skill for Yuri

It is true. You must perform a Mystic Arte in order to trigger Flynn to use his Radiant Dragon Fang against you. To perform a Mystic Arte:

1. You need to have the 'Special' skill equipped before battle.
2. You must initiate Over Limit Lv. 3 or higher by pressing the d-pad.
3. Then, use an Arcane, Altered, Burst, or an other Advanced level magic Arte while holding the cn_B button.

Try to begin the fight in Overlimit 3 or use Limit Bottles to get there quickly. Use your Overlimit and trigger your Mystic Arte (use an Arcane Arte, then hold A) which will force him to counter with his MA. Now get him to about 25% health so he heals, then simply hold X to defend until he has used all his other attacks and you get the short cinematic.
