After about a year and a few attempts at contacting the devs, I finally got a response. Unfortunately, they are indicating the likeliness of this game getting an update is dependent on the company's future performance. If they become successful, they will have the time and resources to go back and fix older games. Otherwise, they will be directing their resources elsewhere. Take that as you may.
