How to unlock the This is heavy. achievement in Tango Fiesta - Definitive Guide

This achievement is a little obscure at first.

The Matrix 80 is an unlockable assault rifle on page 2 of the Gun Shop in the middle of the first row.

The unlock condition is to accumulate over 600,000 points in a level.

Once unlocked, you can purchase the gun for 90,500 gold.

600,000 is a lot of points and will take you some time. It can be done by replaying levels in the Story Mode.

I personally did it in one the Killionaire levels in World 3 with the Manuel pistol and Bionic Cop. These levels have rushing melee chainsaw henchmen that will come to you and allow you to rack up Combo streaks to reach 600,000 faster. The Manuel has deceiving stats, as it is a pistol, but it actually shoots a ten-round burst spread each time and comes with tons of ammo and has good range. It is very efficient at killing low health enemies quickly.

A note is that while the achievement did unlock for me, it also immediately caused several bugs, making the game crash.

I'm not actually sure when exactly the achievement pops, since after purchasing the Matrix 80 and then equipping it, I immediately completed one quick Story Mode level and one quick Arcade Mode level, and neither victory resulted in an achievement notification.

I then tried to start a new level again with the Matrix 80 equipped, only to have the game freeze and crash right on the intro airdrop screen.

When reopening the game, my profile was somehow corrupted, with all guns in the Gun Shop unlocked but no ability to select any of them in the shop to view their stats. Upon trying to start a new game, only the basic guns were selectable on the character selection screen. Also, all of my level progress had been reset on stage select.

A restart of my console did not fix the problem, but a second hard reset did return my profile, unlockables and progress to their previous state.

I never did actually get an on screen achievement notice, but looking back at my Xbox Android app, the achievement actually registered officially about 30 minutes before all of these other problems.
