How to unlock the Sonic Heroes achievement in Team Sonic Racing - Definitive Guide
You will need two additional controllers for this. Sign them in as guests and then go to local play. Press start on both controllers to sign them in.
Go to exhibition race and select team race. Select your characters and then put them on the same team.
You just need to finish the race, not win in order to get the achievement. When the race concludes the achievement will pop for you.

Can you have multiple accounts signed in and all players obtain this at once?

You get the achievement as soon as doing the three laps as your main account, no need to go through the track with all three characters.

Requires 3 controllers (Potentially could work via remote play as well).
When you boot up Team sonic racing make sure you have a PS controller (or something like a phone through remote play) connected to the console and turned on (using either local profiles if its just one person or using other accounts if playing with someone locally)
On the main menu connect the controllers to the game (as seen via the 4 slots at the bottom of the screen) they should be coloured if the controllers are connected, white if not and jumping if they know there is a controller turned on that is not connected.
Next go to Local play and select a exhibition race (underneath the mode it should specify the number of players with it showing "3p" if 3 controllers are connected for example) and then select team race to play as a team instead of individual racers in a free for all.
After that you can select any track and characters you would like to use (players can select anyone regardless on what team they are on in the regular story).
Win or lose after you finish the race the trophy should unlock (if you are using local profiles it won't matter but if you are using multiple profiles then I believe that you need to finish the race with every non-local profile for them to receive the trophy as well).
Hope this helped answer any questions or help in clearing any potential confusion about the trophy.

You will require 2 extra controllers for this to play in splitscreen. Additional local players must be added to the game from the main menu. You are required to finish a full race with all 3 players on a single team. This can be done in Team Adventure mode, Team Exhibition race or online.
A Vita may be used in place of a controller.

If you have 2 gamepads and a friend online, then the achievement is completed in 5 minutes. The first and second participant are your two gamepads, the third racer in the team is your comrade via Share Play. The achievement is counted when the “first gamepad” crosses the finish line; the rest may not even strive to reach the finish line.

Or if you have 2 gamepads and a PS Vita.

The essence of the trophy is that you need to complete the race on a TV screen divided into three parts. The host needs to complete it, the rest don’t even have to touch!
There are 4 options:
1.Have two joysticks and a friend via Share Play
2.Have two joysticks and PS VITA
3.Have three joysticks
4. (the simplest in my opinion) have two joysticks and download the official PS4 Remote application (for remote play) to your smartphone - this will be your third joystick!
But don’t forget that the trophy will only be given to the host, in other words, if the host is a smartphone, then you must cross the finish line on it!
