How to unlock the Complete Season achievement in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge - Definitive Guide
Story-related; cannot be missed.
The Story Mode in this game consists of 16 episodes, which is basically the full run of the Arcade version of the game but each level is a separate entity to tackle. This makes Story Mode quite easy, as each level can be played on Chill (the easiest) difficulty, and you'll have three lives plus continues to beat a single level. Even playing solo with zero genre experience, this will pose no real challenge.
In general, roll behind enemies and/or to avoid their attacks. Save up special attacks () for big groups and bosses. Whenever there is downtime between groups of enemies, taunt with to fill your special meter so it's full for the next group. Likewise during bosses, if you can taunt between attacks to fill your special, then use a special attack on the boss, you can't be hit or interrupted during a special attack so it's way safer to hit bosses that way.
All of the regular bosses are pretty straightforward: watch their attacks and jump in to attack during downtime between them. The final two bosses can be intimidating but aren't too bad once you know where the safe spots are.
For the Krang fight in the Statue of Liberty, stay right in the middle of the screen (from a vertical perspective) as often as you can. Basically right where you spawn is perfect; don't move up or down. Standing in this position means Krang's fist smash/shockwave attacks will miss you every time. His gun energy ball shots will also miss you. For his head laser blasts, simply roll left and right. When he does his massive laser in the center, just move all the way to the bottom of the screen and he can't touch you. If you're reach is long enough, you can hit him while he's using his laser. If not, take that opportunity to taunt to regain your special meter. Those are his only attacks, so as long as you stay in those two positions (middle or bottom) you should be able to wail away on him.
For the Super Shredder fight, he is extremely aggressive and fast, so don't try to hit him at all except right after he finishes his ground fireball waves. He'll teleport and dash at you to try to grab you (which is a pain to avoid) or he'll just dash around the screen and leave fireballs. Stay in a bottom corner to be safest, and only move if he's coming right for you. After his fireball dashes, he'll send out waves of fireballs. You can try to get between them if you're far away, but it's safer to just jump over them. Jump and attack him as he finishes, and get a few hits in. It won't do any damage, but you need to hit him enough to make him use his energy shield, after which he finally becomes vulnerable for a few seconds. It's a slow fight because of this. Once you get him to less than half health, he'll summon four purple statues. Destroy all four quickly to make him vulnerable again, and just repeat until he's dead.
