You can finish the game with the God Mode cheat turned on and it will still count for the achievement. With the God Mode turned on, you will not take damage from the oponents and more important, will kill most of the enemies, including bosses, with one hit.
To turn the God Mode, go to the Game Select screen and choose the option Enhancements, go to the second option (God Mode) and put it On. It must be done for each game - I don't know if it works for all the games in the collection. I did it on the TMNT Arcade Game and it worked just fine.

You can also just play the very last level with god mode on and the achievement still unlocks.

If you don't feel like using God mode, you can button mash 
for up to 999 lives.
