How to unlock the Shredding the Shredder achievement in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection - Definitive Guide

Similar to the other method, which didn’t work for me personally, for every game you can press cn_X to watch the game.

All I did was fast forward until the boss was almost dead. Save, quit, and then load the game. It would load with the boss almost dead, but me actually playing. Then I would take the last couple swings and kill the boss.

Each game took about 2 minutes, so maybe 30 minutes for full completion?

This works for everything besides the 3 fighting games, not sure how to do those yet!

Seems like spamming the rewind is the best way to get those achievements, and saving after every match!

It should as the credits are loading, if it’s not working, you may have to take control a few seconds earlier… make sure you’re saving and quitting and reloading the game to trick it into thinking you played it all

Thumbs down for cheap tactics to get achievements. Doing your method, you’ve “achieved” nothing. You didn’t fight shredder, you didn’t save the city, you have shame placed upon you by Master Splinter himself.

welcome to the website, how to get achievements the quickest and easiest ways, or just be salty? Luckily I don’t care about the ratio, just trying to help people, thank you

My favourite is the argument in the Guitar Hero 2 (Maybe 3) achievement list. There is an achievement for getting perfect on 20 songs. Or you can go to the cheat code menu, hit some buttons, and unlock it. The salt in there is real.

Thanks for the solution! Ignore the whiny bitches, they think if you aren't enjoying things the same way that they enjoy things then it's impossible to be having fun, which is absolute bullshit.

Just did it on the US version of the game. When shredder appears, wait till your turtle knocks him off the platform with a boomerang, then hit x, RB, save, QUIT, get back to the game menu and finally load your new save. I fought him regularly, which didn't prove too difficult.
I had tried the save/load thing but it didn't work on either the US or JP version. Quitting properly seems to have done the trick. Sorry for the extended description, but at least you won't waste your precious time trying to fidget with the savestates like I did.

For the fighting games achievements, you have to beat the SNES & GEN versions on the hardest difficulty, & the NES version on Normal. The NES & SNES weren't too hard to do, all I needed was the rewind function.

For the GEN version of TMNT Tournament Fighters, go jnto regular P1 vs CPU mode, with play as bosses enabled, & matches set to 1 round. On you second controller, start a P1 vs P2 match. You can beat each character one by one that way & get credit for it. The last 2 have to be Triceraton, then Krang. Karai you will have to actually fight.

Aright I’ve been seeing guides for this game on how to get achievements by just watching theater mode and saving then going back and not doing anything. But this guide is gonna be how to beat the game tips and tricks on how to actually beat it. So this game originally came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES, the NES’ games were very Arcady in the way the games were structured, how difficult they were, and how you couldn’t just pick up the game for the first time and beat it first try, you had to learn the game first.

With that being said this is not gonna be an easy game to beat if you’ve never played it before and if you’ve never played a arcade/ NES beat ‘em up. The video below has an entire long play where you can see where you have to go first time in the world map without trial an error. (I mean in like what building your supposed to go into how to get to the final part of the area)

Hopefully the video helps but for the tips and tricks, you should use Donatello the entire game unless there are enemies that hurt you to much then switch to Michelangelo to one hit them, utilize the up and down attacks with Donatello to take out enemies a floor below or above you. Also utilize the screen if an enemy goes off screen they will despawn also if you go to the screen before an enemy spawns then go back to that screen the enemy will spawn again so look out for that. Others then those tips there isn’t really anything else to say about this game. Hopefully this guide helps you complete the game legit and happy hunting.

Just a quick acknowledgement & thanks. I’m just a guy who fights to the finish, and I appreciate your guide.
I’ve been looking to beat the original NES turtles game for well over 20years, I didn’t wait that long just to “watch” the game & get a meaningless achievement. No, I’ve been waiting for the challenge I’ve been waiting to show shredder that these turtle boys don’t cut him no slack.
Anyhow, keep rockin!

In watch mode, skip to the 35:37 mark and begin play after Shredder falls to the floor. Attack him while he's on the floor and you're on the edge until his health is empty. That's how I unlocked the achievement.
