How to unlock the Gallery Completionist achievement in TEKKEN 6 - Definitive Guide

Probably one of your last and most time consuming achievements, this will be either very frustrating or long.

To do this you must finish the games gallery which consists mostly of Journals and videos.

The Gallery consists of:
Opening Movies
-Tekken 6 Opening Movie
-Tekken 6 Arcade Version Opening Movie
-Tekken 6 BR Opening Movie
-Scenario Campaign Opening Movie

Ending Movies
-40 Ending Movies, there is 1 movie for every character except Jin and Armor King who have 2 each, you unlock these by either finishing arcade mode with each character or by unlocking them randomly. The game seems to reward you with these when you play any game mode long enough.

Prologues
-39 prologues, 1 for each character. Unlocked by entering(you dont have to finish)the arena in Scenario Campaign Mode. Note: There is a prologue for both Kuma and Panda, when selecting your character press X over their picture to select Kuma and A to select Panda.

Scenario Campaign Prologue
-Tekken
-Tekken 2
-Tekken 3
-Tekken 4
-Tekken 5
-Tekken 6
All of which are unlocked by watching one long cinematic.

Scenario Campaign Cinematics
-There are 34 in total, these are the videos that feature Lars and are unlocked by playing and finishing Scenario Campaign Mode.

Alisas Journals
47 in total. Unlocked by finishing every stage in Scenario Campaign Mode.

I suggest that you finish every level in Scenario Campaign Mode because by the time your done with the story and all of the secret levels youll have unlocked 90% of the Gallery minimum.

Good Luck!

Just a hunch, but I'm thinking the endings unlock when you defeat so many of a move set, I've unlocked some at the beginning of a stage & during (Campaign mode) certainly saves on having to fight Azazel..

"I suggest that you finish every level in Scenario Campaign Mode because by the time your done with the story and all of the secret levels youll have unlocked 90% of the Gallery minimum."

I finished SC. Mode today, and i have less than half the gallery i think. This is due to the fact (i think) that i literally flew trough all the stages... even hard mode isn't tough enough for me and i barely had to retry these stages. some i had too but that's normal :)

anyhow, the guide you describe here m8 is just PERFECT! this'll make it much more easy to find out the rest what i'm missing ;) thx alot for that!

Added note to my last comment. you'll easily get theses endings on a average rate just playing either online ranked/player matches, ghost battle, arcade mode, survival, i'm sure you can on team battle also. this can also be boosted with two controllers on a 1 on 1 match as i unlocked a ending against my friend on a local match.

What i did notice: i do not unlock prologues by entering the SC. Mode arena... what i do know is that i earn the character's ending movie by finishing off Azazel in Arena in SC. Mode.

And you'll gain the prologues by entering Arcade Mode and picking your character.

Isn't that the correct way? :)

Ok so today, 20 minutes ago, i unlocked the final 2 achievements... the gallery and the tekken fanatic one... what i did was to print a list containing all character's (the playable ones's names) and then i checked every movie ending or prologue that i allready unlocked. After that i checked everything twice i started to play every other character where i didn't had the ending movies of in arena in Scenario Mode. When you kill Azazel you unlock the movie corresponding to the character you're playing with...

Also... the prologues ARE unlocked by just entering the arena and picking a character, then skipping trough the prologue so it starts loading the battle, as soon as battle starts exit and do the rest of them (i did leftover prologue's on the very last moment and focussed on clearing those 4 bosses in arena with the other chars)

i found the easiest way to unlock ending movies was to select a character with NO attribute enhancements, (i chose dragunov) then select nightmare train in SC mode, set it to hard, then just let them kill you, then retry.

Every 3-5 times you unlock an ending movie :)

I've done all of this and I still have 2 ending movies that are locked. I have both armor king and both jin endings. The slots would suggest that the endings belong to lars and alisa but I have heard unanimously that they don't have endings. suggestions? has this happened to anyone else?

thanks for the list, but you really should add that the character endings can all be unlocked by beating the arena with each character. with the way you have worded it, I ended up wasting time beating arcade mode with a character only to find out that that doesn't unlock the ending movies.

I have completed the scenario mode yesterday and did not unlock a single ending during the whole time. I died a few times, especially in the secret stages. So where were these "randomly" unlocking endings?

By the way, I played Arena on Easy with one round and unlocked them all. Difficulty settings should influence the Arena as I won the first three Arena fights everytime (although I am a bad Tekken player). Only Azazel is a pain with many characters.

After playing a bunch of missions to get items and opening up some of the movies in the process, I saw "You have unlocked xxx ending movie" at the start of the level. Then it dawned on me.... YOU DON'T NEED TO BEAT THE LEVEL!!! All you need to do is enter the level.
Once in, quit out to the world map and re-enter the level. After every few entrances (about 5-7), another ending movie pops.

It might be a little cheap, but if this is all your looking for its much faster than going through the entire level.

Sure it's cheap, but it worked for me. After finishing the SC, and the 30 online matches I had about 20 movies left to unlock so I started this method and it works. I found that movies were unlocking in about every two minutes. But you have to enter a level of the SC for them to unlock. So in the end, I didn't have to go through the Arena any more times than I wanted to. I actually got the gallery completiion and the Tekken Addict by doing this method.

i don't understand your strat completely, do you just switch characters and unlock their 1 video switch characters and do it again? and are they the videos that unlock that normally requires the arena to unlock?

the videos unlock randomly after X number of chapters played in scenario campaign. then every 5-7 chapters, another video is unlocked. it doesn't matter which character you are playing with. hope this helped you to understand what his method is :)

I tried entering & leaving about 50 times & i didn't even unlock one. But after i beat the final Scenario missions & unlocked all the prologues i retried entering & leaving a scenario (Nightmare Train) they ALL unlocked for me 1 by 1!
Does take 5-7 enter & leaves. they unlock when you enter the scenario stage.

Once you have the prologue you will be able to unlock the ending for that character. This is still much faster than actually playing each character in that terrible arena

So, I'm not going to unlock Devil Jin because fuck this game and fuck a fighting game thinking it can have two different play styles in it when they're only good at traditional tournament fighting. Anywho, rage over with, can I still unlock DJ's ending without unlocking the bastard?

Sorry for any crude remarks towards the game that may have offended anyone, I just think any Tekken Beat-Em Up mode is a real piece of garbage

This is a guide by nicobest573 from PlaystationTrophies.org.
Original forum thread: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/tekken-6-a/30760-ga...

I have followed this guide and it is the easiest and fastest way to earn the achievement! I have just earned the Gallery achievement by doing this. Even the prologues unlock.

"Here is what I have done to get the trophy under a couple hours.

- First complete Scenario Mode.
- Play [Central Subway Line] (the stage with Nina as the boss) and as soon as the level begins, jump off the train (run towards the edge and press A). Repeat that over and over until you unlock the trophy.

Because the loading time is much faster when retrying this stage, and because it's really quick to just jump off the train, this is the fastest (and yet easiet) way I have found to get the trophy.

If you need some explanation as to why this works, know that once the Scenario Mode is completed, the game will unlock endings as you play. Unlocking of those is not random however. I found that they unlock in the same order as you unlock the characters in Scenario Mode. More importantly, I found that the game counts how many matches you play and awards you with an ending every 25 matches. That means that if you go play some Arcade Mode, every 25th match you play will get you an ending unlocked. Now, if you play Scenario Mode, you only need to play 6 levels (in most of the cases; sometimes you need a bit more, when unlocking dual endings such as Jin's) to unlock an ending (obviously because a Scenario level takes longer to complete than a regular match). The key though is that the game does not care if you win or lose, as you long as you play. So keep losing a Scenario level as fast as you can and you'll get the trophy in no-time."

I upvoted this, but you may want to edit. On the Xbox you need to press the cn_A button, not cn_X. Once I figured that out it worked perfectly.

i know @skylinesend said it's X, and the solution says A,, but really it depends on the character.

For Kuma, B while running is the only way for me to get off the stage
And for Dragunov A while running is the only way.

I haven't tested anyone else, but i'm sure there are characters where it's X and where you don't need to be running, but it depends on what character you are

In my own opinion, i believe this method is by the fastest and easier way to obtain this achievement.

First off go to setting
:: Set the CPU to easy
:: Set the Rounds to 1
:: Set the Rounds timer to 30 seconds.
:: Go to scenario campaign mode, then play the ARENA with each character.
:: The first few fights are extremely easy, the ONLY hard part is when you versus the chicken.
:: But here is the good part, there is only 30 sec. and it's only 1 round.
:: So quickly attack with either a X or Y. Then for the remainder of the time just block. (It may take 1-3 tries depending on skill)

Introductions can be earned by starting the arena in scenario campaign or by beginning arcade mode with each character. Endings can be earned by completing these modes, or by using the method below.

Spoiler alert, this is a guide primarily directed towards owners of a turbo controller. From messing around just a bit on a secondary account I have realized that if you simply turbo the X button upon starting a mission, you can keep resuming it and gradually unlock the endings this way. Every few failures you will see a message pop up that the ending was unlocked for a random character upon the start of the retry.

This being said, it saves you the hassle of arcade/arena playthroughs for each character. If you do not have a turbo, you could still do this only you'd have to watch the screen and simply click retry if that were easier though I personally would just rather play through as it would become rather boring.

Make sure you have nothing but default gear on both your primary character as well as your partner. Personally I allowed the game to run on Nightmare Train on hard and that gave me some quick failures. Once it starts up, just turbo X and you can leave the PS3 running knowing that you're gradually earning endings and not having to face Azazel. laugh

There were a couple things I found when trying this again, however. At first the game would not give me any endings despite me failing multiple times in a row. I'm not sure about this, but I believe I had to complete and arcade run before attempting to earn the endings this way. It may seem stupid but it hadn't worked until I did this, perhaps the game wants you to at least earn one ending before getting it the easy way?

Also, if you want quick losses and don't have a turbo nor do you feel like waiting simply boot up the stage with Anna or any other stage that starts you near a ledge and jump off by pressing back and up near the ledge. Doing this will take a bit longer and quite a bit more effort, but it's still easier than the arena.

To get this Achievement you must unlock all of the Gallery Cinematics.

The Scenario Campaign Prologues (Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Tekken 4, and Tekken 5) will unlock the moment you see them during the beginning of the Scenario Campaign. The remaining Scenario Campaign Cinematics will all unlock as you complete Scenario Campaign Mode. The same can be said for Alisa's Journals, these update after every stage you complete (including the hidden ones for Mokujin, Roger Jr. and Yoshimitsu)

Character Prologues are unlocked by heading to the Arena in Scenario Campaign Mode, selecting the character you want, then exiting to the World Map as soon as the first fight starts. You do NOT need to fight through the Arcade or the Arena to unlock these. Do this with all characters (including both Panda and Kuma. Press X over Kuma to play as him, and press A over Kuma to play as Panda) to unlock their cinematics.

Character Endings will be a bit trickier as there are two ways to get them. The first is the obvious way, to beat the Arcade/Arena with that character and I promise you Azazel will NOT make that easy for you. The other way is to beat the Scenario Campaign mode, then head over to Nina's Stage (the train, NOT Nightmare Train though) and purposely turn around, run to the edge and press A to jump over the side and KO yourself. You might have to press A a little early to jump before hitting the barrier. After doing this 5-7 times you will begin by unlocking the Arcade Credits Cinematic, then on your next 5-7 run and the following runs you will unlock the character ending in the order you fought them in Scenario Campaign mode. This means you'll likely unlock Bryan's Ending first, and get Yoshimitsu's last. I specifically did this on Hard mode if that makes a difference, each run of 5-7 KO's took about 2-3 minutes or so.

Once you have all of the endings the Achievement will unlock!

Note: This can glitch in a good way and unlock early if you just start stages and quit once you beat scenario mode.

This trophy is probably the most time-consuming of the bunch but the majority of it will be finished before you must grind out the remains near the end of your trophy journey. You must unlock everything available to you in the Gallery in Offline Mode of the Main Menu, which include:
  • All character endings (and their Prologues)
  • Scenario Campaign Prologue (earned via natural progress)
  • Scenario Campaign cutscenes (earned via natural progress)
  • Scenario Campaign: Alisa's Journal (earned via natural progress)
  • Multiple Statistics; earned for earning a score in Arcade, Team Battle, Time Attack and Survival
As you can see, the majority of the content needed is unlocked naturally, however the character endings could turn into a chore if you come out needing the remaining few. When all is finished in your trophy journey, Gallery Completionist is your final trophy and you find you need to earn a few more endings and/or the trophy is not unlocking, make sure you have completed the following:
  • Completing Arena in Scenario Campaign with said character - Simply enter and quit each stage 6 times with each character to unlock the relevant entries.
  • Don't worry about Alisa's Journal, Scenario Campaign Prologue and cutscenes; these unlock naturally provided you complete Scenario Campaign (which, if you plan to earn the , you will)
Something that many seem to miss is setting a record in Arcade, Team Battle, Time Attack and Survival. Long story short, complete all of these modes. The statistics are needed for Gallery Completionist.

To check up on your progress, go to Gallery in the Main Menu and the respective options will be listed. When you unlock the final piece of content, the trophy should immediately unlock.

Finish Scenario Campaign first, earning all of the cutscenes and diaries from Alisa, all of the prologues, and all of the ending movies.

Note: Ending movies will randomly unlock after finishing the SCM to hasten the process a bit. For the prologues, you don't have to beat everyone's arena, you just have to start it up and then save and quit. Keep and mind that the panda and the kuma have different prologues so you must pick the Panda once by pressing on Kuma during character select.

With Ending Movies, you can either

  • Finish that characters Arena Mode in SCM
  • Play randomly in SCM
  • Play randomly online

However, the easiest way to unlock ending movies is to play Nightmare Train on hard with a character that has no stat enhancements and let the enemies kill you. After about every 6-10 (its random) retries, you'll get another ending.

To get the trophy you need to unlock all the intro and outro cutscenes for each character. If there are no problems with the introductory videos, then for the final one you need to defeat Azazel with every character in the arena in the campaign (which can be quite difficult when playing with a character unfamiliar to you). However, there is a trick that allows you to open endings without killing Azazel. With any character, simply enter any campaign mission and exit immediately. After 8-10 times of such visits, the ending for some character will open. Repeat until you have covered all the endings. It is recommended to do this after beating the game, since endings will also open up as you progress through the game.

I didn't have prologues unlocked for all the characters. But all endings were open.
The trophy dropped after I played Time Attack for the first time. In general, it is advisable to try all modes in the game to record a personal record.

My trophy is glitched. I have everything open, the trophy does not fall out. I tried to enter and exit the Campaign levels (it was in the MagicVirus tooltip), and the trophy fell out. I advise those who had the same problem as me to try enter and exit Campaign levels and the trophy should drop .

Play a team battle with a partner 8/8, based on the results of the battle, almost everyone received an ending. Unfortunately, the trophy did not open immediately, but only after another 2-3 team battles, despite the fact that the endings were open.

maybe he got it wrong?

I opened the endings in a more fun way: select the team battle mode and fight in the 8 vs 8 fighters mode for as long as possible (have more fights) about 2 or 3 such runs and one ending opens. You can play with two people, it will be more fun 8)

It's surprising that there are so many vague hints here, although everything in the game is actually clear. The ending of the characters is given strictly for every 6 missions of the scenario, and it is enough to simply restart the same mission (if you are looking for the fastest way). A restart is more profitable than a restart, because... Less time is spent on loading, but restart is possible only after the death of the hero. I tried 3 different missions and always after 6 restarts I got the ending, i.e. It doesn't seem to depend on the mission. Therefore, it is most effective to take the mission with the boss JACK 6, and immediately after it, start to run up a little and roll from the pier into the water (circle button). The technique of jumping from a cliff is a little specific, but you will train it quite quickly, the main thing is to run optimally and do it before the enemies spawn, otherwise you won’t be able to jump until you kill the enemies. After the Stage Failed message appears, click restart. In this way I got one ending in 2-2.5 minutes with error-free and quick jumps into the water.

I’ll add that I didn’t have any glitches with the trophy. Unlocked all the prologues and all the endings. The trophy dropped at the last open prologue, at the beginning of the first battle in the arena for the new (last) selected character. The main thing is not to forget to play as Panda and Kuma (open both prologues), characters are selected using the cross and circle buttons.

MANAGEMENT:

Step 1:

Requires completing Arcade Mode once and defeating the final boss Azazel. Once completed, the Credits/Credits video will open.

Step 2:

Complete all levels of the company mode (including 2 secret levels where the bosses are Mokujin and Yoshimitsu ) to unlock Alisa journal, Sceneario camp prologue.

Step 3:

In Company mode, complete the entire Arena level with five different characters.

Step 4:

Select the Arena level in company mode. It is necessary to start the arena with all 40 characters (including Panda and Kuma ), and as soon as the battle with the first enemy begins, press the Start button and select Exit battle . When you select each character, you get your own comic book-style opening screen. In this way, you will need to start the Arena level with all 40 characters. Upon completion, all S. camp cinematics/Intro should be unlocked.

Step 5:

We open the remaining screensavers: launch the campaign mode, take any character and select “Mission 35: Mishima Zaibatsu / Missima Zaibatsu Central Subway Line”. Or to put it simply - the level with the carriage (where we go through the tunnel in the subway and at the end the boss Nina Williams/Nina Williams ). As soon as the level starts, hold down (run button) and run to the edge of the car. Click (running kick in the air) and fall. We die, and we are asked to replay the level. We answer “Yes/Yes” and repeat. Each operation takes about 6 - 8 seconds. Every time you replay a level, there is a chance that a message will appear: A new ending has been opened. Select gallery to view. This method opens videos from the section, which includes all the introductory and ending screensavers for all characters. Movie Theater/Theater.
