How to unlock the Impressive Moves achievement in TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 - Definitive Guide

I did it with this Paul + Law.

Go to Practice Mode, choose Law + Paul
I use the standard Controller Set Up Y=RP, X = LP

Short Explanation:
Law: Poison Arrow (Forward + Y, X) , TAG (Paul comes in) Y, Y, (Law comes automatically in if you have all done correctly with Paul), X with Law in the right moment


Detailed Explanation:
Do with Law "Poison Arrow" ( Forward + Y, X (F > RP > LP) It´s a difficult move in my opinion you need good timing for it. I have the best results with this move if I have pressed: Forward + Y (middle finger) and then extremly quickly X (with Forefinger). After that hit the "TAG" Button.
Paul comes in with glowing hands. Hit Y,Y.
Now comes the hard part. The enemy is in the Air, Law comes automatically in with glowing hands. You must hit with him (X button!) the enemy before he reaches the bottom.

You will hear a "GREAT" if you have all done correctly.

Just continue holding forward for the whole thing quick press Y then X, again quickly hit LB double tap YY and then X.

The hardest part for me was tagging Paul in fast enough, for some reason LB seamed to work better than RB

For those, like me, who aren't tekken masters, just mix the two solutions.
Marshall Law + Paul vs OGRE in practice mode.
Easiest way to go is using the wall.
You've to make this tag combo from fd+Y,X (Law) to 2nd Y button (Paul) without pause then wait Law land to the ground before the final X button.
It took me arround 5 minutes to unlock it.

couldn't figure this one out , if anyone is looking for a different option I used this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXh_uUB5yfs . I did the one with baek and hwoarang and remapped LT to LK+RK. So combo is UP LT RB(or LB either tag assist will work) - ABA - LT

Found this one more manageable and it looks more badass as well smile

Got mine on a Jin/Asuka one (I'm not a Jin player since they changed him, so getting the defensive move instead of various punches was a chore)
b+LP+RP, tag, RP, LK, LP+RP
took about 20 minutes to get it to happen, found pressing the buttons after tag twice, took off less damage than I thought it would

As of right now the easiest combo I know of to pull off for this achievement is with Jin (Main) and Asuka (Tag Partner);

(JIN Start within hit range) back X+Y > TAG > Y > A > X+Y

Timing is a lot with this move. Also, I would suggest having X+Y and TAG each on a trigger or bumper for easy access and less chance of a mistake. You also may find this combo easier to land on a larger opponent (Ogre) as I did.

This achievement can be earned in practice mode.

i couldnt do it for like 10 minutes, cause asuka was hitting short and not reaching on the last X+Y, after X+Y > TAG > Y > A > HOLD FORWARDS THEN PRESS X+Y you will hit then

I just re-did it on the most recent patch in training and can confirm this still works (people are commenting on other solutions by me that they're having trouble in training unlocking achievements)

Took a second to get the timing down, but this worked as advertised :P

X+Y, immediately press tag, wait a half second and have asuka come in with her dragon punch, wait another half second then A -> X+Y.

I had them up against a wall, it helped.

Thanks alot!! Prob couldn't have done it without your savvy (timing important but not-too-hard) combo with Jin and my girl Asuka! Using Ogre as your punching bag helps plenty too. Great solution!

Sorry, I'd made this achievement guide back when the game was just released and was searching all day online for GREAT combo's, and at that point in time couldn't find any. I may try adding one later, but as of right now I don't have one.

Dragoner28's solution works great!

Just from my experience of trying to achieve it I had to choose the location as United States, Festive Parade and fought against Dr Bosconovitch.

I tried with different opponents and locations but that didn't give me enough hang to get close enough with Law to make the final hit as the opponent is falling.

Also was able to unlock the achievement Insane Juggler at the same time!

Just reposting.
All credits goes to the YouTube user JunpeiCollection.

Done few tries and worked very well.
Just remind to select the same stage (Heavenly Garden) because don't have the walls and the punch configuration on the normal (square on left punch, triangle on right punch) The TAG button I recomend on circle to do only this trophy.

And off course, need select Paul and Forest Law.
The explanation just see the video.
Forest "Poison Arrow" move, quickly TAG, Paul's right punch (2 times on the right timing) and Forest left punch on the right timming again.

PS: Done in the practice mode.

A GREAT combo seems to be a damage heavy combo done between special tag teams. So far the easiest seems to be for Marshall Law/Paul for most people. The input for that is:

 + , quickly tap , then quickly tap  and Paul will come rushing out very quickly with blue sparkles around him. With Paul press , and Law will automatically switch places with Paul with a yellow aura on his hands while the opponent is mid-air. You have to time it right, but press  and it should zoom in on Law from his back punching your opponent followed by the announcer yelling out "GREAT!" plus your achievement poping up. NOTE:This can be done in Practice Mode.

A great combo is a blue sparkly juggle that can only be done with special character combinations. They have special timing, and the announcer will yell "GREAT!" once you've done it correctly.

Example:
Law, Paul: Law +~~, Paul ,, Law delayed (f+2~1~5, Paul 2,2, Law delay 1)
Kazuya, Jinpachi: Kazuya While Rising ~, Jinpachi ,,, Kazuya delay (Kazuya While Rising 2~5, Jinpachi 1,1,2, Kazuya 2 delay 1)

LOCAL MODE
TRAINING
TAG
YOU = JIN + ASUKA
AI = OGRE
During battle, press the START button

TRAINING MODE
FREESTYLE or DEFENSE PRACTICE

In this case, this combo always starts with JIN .

Combination:
Close BACK + X + Y , fast RB , steady Y , steady A , steady X + Y.

Details:
Come close to the AI, hold BACK , press the button combination X + Y , and instantly press RB to change partner, then, slowly, successively press first Y , then A , and finally the combination X + Y.
After each button you press, based on your own observations, you will understand at what time to press the final buttons in sequence.

PS
If you find it difficult to combine buttons at the same time, then in the game you can combine a combination of several buttons to install them on one button.
During battle, press the START button
GAMEPAD SETTINGS (scroll down)
KEY SETTINGS
While holding down the RT button, use the d-pad to select left-right LK+PC .
Now, instead of the X + Y combination, you can simply press the RT button.

In Training mode, select Marshall Law and Paul Pheonix.
Law quickly press FORWARD + + , instantly on RB to change Law to Paul .
As soon as Paul runs out, quickly press Then Law will automatically appear and quickly press FORWARD FORWARD

You should hear GREAT .

You don’t need forward+Y+X, but forward+(Y, X)*.

It is important that in the arena it is possible to support the opponent against the wall. And start the attack in this position. Before your last blow, the opponent must fly vertically upward, without leaning back.
