How to unlock the Missing King achievement in Telling Lies - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you just need to 'win' a game of solitaire. As the achievement description implies, the game is rigged but just continue as far as you can and you will find that a king is missing and you cannot complete all 4 piles. You will probably have to retry a couple times as you can get stuck and there is no undo or anything.

Hey! I am stuck here. I made the all 4 piles, and no achievement pop for me :/

The first time I “completed” the game, I had the 7, 8 and 9 of diamonds missing. All Kings were present. The second time, it was a King that was missing and the achievement popped straight away. You just need patience (as we Brits call Solitaire).

If you don't know the rules of Solitaire I found this video really helpful:
Only difference is this deck in the game has 3 kings and not 4, but same tips apply.
Biggest tips I got from this video were:
1. Go for short stacks on the field if a king is present.
2. Go for long stacks on the field if it is not.
3. Focus on the field first then the deck.

A few tips I would like to add:
- Even if you know how to play solitaire, this version is really sensitive for user mistakes, compared to the Windows one. If you make a bad move, it almost guarantee a reset because there is no chance of reverse it. I would say is wiser to reset the game and try another run than trying to save the current one, as is more time consuming.
- The best way I found to win is to first get the Aces and their "2" cards up in their slot. Cycle your deck looking for them, so you get a head start.
- Now, for the rest of the game, before taking a card from your deck, make absolutely sure you cannot move the piles (e.g., reveal new ones by changing stacks) in the bottom. I cannot empathize how important this is. I lost 4 games because of laziness and thus ending hard-locked when I could reveal a new card instead of choosing the one from the deck of cards. The last time (when I won) I went full serious mode checking that everything from the piles are done (no useful movements to reveal cards) and then proceed to the deck.
- If you want to return a card (i.e., borrow) from the Aces pile to the bottom make sure its your last option. You can get hard-locked trying to move a bottom pile so you reveal a new card and then cannot return said borrowed card to the Aces pile.
- The game seems to give you the first three aces really easy and the last one burrowed deep on the bottom piles. Take that into account and don't expect to start finishing the Aces piles until you are almost done (in comparison, the Windows version is a bit more random and seems there is no bias towards receiving aces cards).
On the top left of the desktop, there is a solitaire game. Play and win 1 game of solitaire.
For this one you need to complete a game of solitaire. This is the card icon at the top left of the screen. This specific version is called Klondike. If you don't know how to play you basically want to get four piles from A-K (one for each suit) in the top right. Once you complete a game this will unlock.
While you can quickly restart Solitaire to earn Pointless Game , you'll actually have to complete a hand to unlock this trophy. If you've never played before, the WikiHow guide is very thorough.
Once you - technically - complete the game, the trophy will unlock.
