How to unlock the 1000 Stealth Kills achievement in Tenchu Z - Definitive Guide
Not so much a guide but a reference point, For Tenchu veterans stealth kills are bread and butter. This achievement popped for me after doing mission 23. I did all three difficulties for all missions 1-23. I ninja 5 95% of levels in one attempt. 1000 seems like a lot of kills, but game completion percentage of 46% says I have a long way to go. Avoid open conflicts, if someone spots you run away then resume stealth killing when ki is green. Level 20 Silencer is a great level to farm as the mission objective is to kill 20 people, it being a small map you can probably do it in less then 10 mins.
Stealth kills are what they say on the tin.
Kill enemies without being noticed. Simply sneak up behind an enemy, and take them down.
- You will one hit kill them if you achieve a stealth Kill.
- If you get seen you can run away until they give up the hunt before returning and trying again.
- You will mostly likely unlock this before the end of your first play-through. Since you need to beat the game 3 times, on 3 different difficulties to unlock all the achievements, I would wager you will have this before the end of your first run.
-Rolling is silent, you can roll right up to someone (from behind) and just execute them with ease most of the time, as long as you aren't smelly, or on a noise making surface EG Running water.
If for any reason you want a level to grind this out, some people recommend level 20: Silencer. Which has you kill 20 enemies to finish the level. Once you figure out the spawns and patrol patterns you can get this level done very fast; but like I said, it's probably going to come through normal game-play anyway.

Without being noticed kill 1,000 enemies. Try to knock this out early in the game because getting this achievement unlocks the best 2 techniques in the game.
Quick tip: If you need to grind kills try playing the missions over where you have to kill everyone in the board. They usually average about 15-20 enemies on 1 mission.

Stealth kills are when you kill your enemy in one quick strike instead of having to stand there attacking them. In order to make a stealth kill, use the right bumper to sneak up to your enemy and when you are behind them you should see a circle with Japanese characters. Wait until this character turns red and take them out quickly.
It is best to stick to the shadows and walk slowly so they aren’t expecting you, also when you do grab them move them into a dark part of the map so the others don’t see the body and get alarmed to your presence.
