Bank the maximum level of F.R.I.M. (10)

How to unlock the Hard earned money achievement in Test Drive Unlimited 2 - Definitive Guide

Okay so all you need to do is go to the Classic Driving School and around the back you'll find the huge empty area with two like lines of plants, one at each side, so all you have to do is fly around them at top speed press the "X" button to handbrake around each end.

Keep at it and you'll get level 10 F.R.I.M and a max of $4,000 so yea thats about it really.

Let me just note that i was the first to actually pull this off and found it an easy way to do it and a showed others in the game how to do it also!

Hope it helps :) good luck

Easiest way for this cheeve, is to wait till you hit Hawaii (level 10).
Hop on the freeway, and just keep getting near misses. The more you get, the bigger the bonus, should take you less than 2 mins to hit F.R.I.M level 10, then just bank it for the cheeve.

This is the best way to get this and the maxium F.R.I.M achievement. It's about a 7-8 mile stretch of road right in front of the airport with no curves which lets you keep your eyes on the road and cars. I was banking about $5000-$8000 each way I traveled on the road after a couple of runs.

Something else I noticed that was helpful was that I could control the car better by staying at about 20 MPH under top speed of the vehicle. Also, I did this late at night and didn't see anyone else online while doing this, it helped not having to worry about ramming into someone while your driving down the middle of the road.

This one is doable offline too if you're worried about some jackass ramming into you.

The best car I've found to do this in is probably the Ariel Atom (either version) - the handling means you can keep control very easily even going flat out.

Here is how I got this achievement. This a great way because you can get this right off the bat in this game. No need to wait till you get to hawaii. Find a straight road on the 1st island. I found that there are a lot of straight road in or around the highly populated town (such as downtownish looking areas) Get on the straight road and floor it. Along the way if you see cars (going the same way or oncoming cars) try to get close to them without hitting them. I was able to get a chain of 8 when doing this. Also, the best time to do this is at night so you can see the cars better because of their tail lights and head lights. ALWAYS keep an eye on your map. You never know when the road will turn or go into those road abouts. Don't be afraid to slow down! I can't stress that enough. You might loose just a bit from the bar (you won't loose your level so dont worry) But I rather loose some of that bar rather than hitting something and starting all over again, I dunno about you. If you find a long straight road turn around and go the opposite way. I was able to get this achievement in a few minutes with the above method.

A side note: Make sure you stay away from the online players. They tend to think this is a demolition derby. I had a level 9 on two (2) separate occasions and had online players ram right into me causing me to loose everything.

All in all, this is a very easy achievement.

This is a easy achievement especially if you find a long straight road. You do not have to wait until you reach Hawaii. Just keep going past other cars fast and just missing them to keep advancing on the bar. Or you could drift to advance as well. Also be careful with turns just slow down when you reach them you may lose a little in the bar but you can always regain it. Once your bar says 10 F.R.I.M. and the bar is completely done advancing and you bank the money the achievement will unlock.

You can do this once you get the F.R.I.M. in the opening section of the game.

Between Sant Antoni (the starting town) and Eivissa (Ibiza Town, biggest one on the map, righthand side of the map with a big harbour) is a long, almost completely straight divided highway/dual carriageway.

Start from Sant Antoni near the multiplayer challenge 'Keep Your Distance' and drive east IN THE ONCOMING LANE all the way along this road to Ibiza Town. The road ends in a roundabout, which you can powerslide around and go back the way you came. There's easily enough distance here for you to get a full level 10 F.R.I.M., both from racking it up for near misses and being over 100mph. There's a few jumps too!

Things to bear in mind:
-don't be directly in an AI car's path, as that causes them to panic and swerve unpredictably.
-sit on the centre line and just move into whatever lane the oncoming car isn't in.
-if you have oncoming cars in both lanes coming at you, drive onto the hard shoulder to avoid panicking them as per above.
-don't be afraid to go onto the hard shoulder for a few seconds, better to lose a bit of F.R.I.M. than the whole thing by crashing.
-be careful on bends, near onramps and on hills.
-avoid other players.

This is not the quickest way to get the achievement for sure, but it's very helpful for those of you that always screw up right when you're about to hit Level 10 (I know, it sucks...). This is easily achievable on Ibiza right when you begin the game. Head to the airport on the east side of the map. It doesn't matter if you've unlocked Hawaii yet or not, because we're going to be going INTO the airport and completing this on the runway.
I'm not 100% sure if there's an easier way to get onto the runway, because I only tried it one way, but what I did was go behind the fence of the airport (on the southeastern side), and there's a little uphill part that leads up to the fence. If you back off for a couple hundred meters, and then charge full speed at the uphill, you actually gain enough speed to jump over the fence, right into the airport runways.
Once here, speed down one of the runways in any direction until you are near the end. Once you are close to the end of the runway, tap the handbrake and do a full 180 degree drift onto the other runway, and then push the throttle as hard as you can all the way up this runway. Repeat, and you will get the tenth level of F.R.I.M. after around 10 minutes. You gain a minimal amount of FRIM from the high speeds, and most of it from the drifting, so around a dozen runs up and down the runways will be the necessary amount to get this cheevo.
It's not the best way, but it's great if you want to do it with out having to worry about messing up your chain at the 9th level, and then raging at your 360.
By the way, the car I used was the Subaru Impreza available at the used car shop at the beginning of the game, but a car with even higher speeds will get you the most FRIM at the quickest rate. Just make sure you judge the distance left on the runway so that you don't go too fast, begin drifting, and somehow manage to continue sliding right into the fence as, of course, this will screw up your progress.

Quite good way to earn this if you have troubles in traffic is using racing tracks, there is few of them on both islands (on map they look like closedeliptic road with one road leading to them), It will take longer but you have many turns and many grass around so you won't get hit by barrier. Use any car you are comfortable withperhaps good idea will be to tunr driving aids off so lsides will be longer. I did this on A6 Subaru Impreza.

Also as you propably noticed gauge is rising (slowly) when you are driving with higher speeds. Well in most of cars, there is one car in which tha bar is risng fast despite that car itself is slow - so you have less chance to hit anything driving on highway - it's bonus car Citroen 2 CV, which you can find searching for wrecks on Oahu:

This way is longer time wise, but If you want an easy area to get this achievement before you get to Hawaii and don't want to bother with the risk of hitting any traffic, you can go to the empty lot behind the Class C Racing School. It's nice and open and you can drive around in circles and get some good drifts to get your FRIM up. Only thing to watch is the actual building and surrounding area where you get your your license toward the front of the lot and the curbed dividers that separate the lot into three sections--if you the hit the curbs hard, you'll lose your FRIM. But, if you know what you're doing and stay on the outside lot area, you won't come close at all! Also, your FRIM automatically goes down if you don't keep your speed up (around 55 mph I think)--so watch it after a drift. But the good news is that the FRIM goes up automatically when you reach higher speeds (depending on what FRIM level your at)...which will also help you get longer drifts.

I did this on a race track that you find in either ibiza or hawaii because there is no traffic, and you simply drift every corner and you will eventually get $4000 that is the easiest way i did it

F.R.I.M. is earned in free roam by having near misses with traffic, by doing jumps or drifts, and by driving close to your car's top speed. To bank the maximum level you must work your way up to level 10 and press once you have filled the bar to the top. There are two methods that work really well for reaching and banking the maximum level:

1) Using a lower ranked A-class car (the Subaru Impreza works very well) head right out of the Hawaii airport. This strech of road is very long and straight, and has a lot of traffic. Stay in the centre of the road, driving at a fairly fast speed (not the fastest your car can go) and you should quickly reach level 10.

2) A very slow car also works well on any stretch of road, as you will be much less likely to collide with the traffic, plus its top speed will also help to fill up the bar quickly.

It turns out very easy, take a car or a jeep (I did it in a buggy) and drive to any clearing, without trees, and drift there until you reach level 10, to enter the drift press the button
