In order to obtain this achievement, you need to drive a total of 1,000 miles. As far as I know, these miles can be earned in any mode.

Cover 1,000 Miles, this isn't the worst and will be done when you're approx. half way through the challenges.
To check on your progress. Go to one of your houses and Select "Info">"Achievements">"Roads Tab" and select the respective achievement.
