Tetris Effect: Connected

This is an absurd grind.

I played around with the various modes and found Quick Play in Effect Modes (clear 30 lines) to be the most efficient XP farm. I was averaging about 60 seconds per run (plus maybe 20 seconds of summary/restart screens) and gaining ~1800 xp per run with an SS rank from scoring 10000+.

After finishing everything else, I was somewhere around level 35. I believe that it took me about 25-30 hours of grinding this mode to get to level 100. I made a spreadsheet when I was at level 75 to calculate what I had ahead of me.

It took me about 558 runs from level 75-100, which took about 12-13 hours with optimal scoring and speed. Doing some half-ass backwards extrapolation, level 75 is probably somewhere around the halfway point.

This guide is for people with a turbo controller that want to farm XP without playing.

First, you want to change the controls to have hard drop on . This can be done in Options -> Customize Controls. Make sure to apply the changes with .

Now go to Effect Modes and start 'All Clear'. Now let your turbo controller keep tapping . You will get on average about 4 to 5 All Clears, which gives you about 1,000 XP. The game will immediately restart again.

Each full run will take about 1 minute 33 seconds, depending on how many All Clears you get. So you will earn about 38,700 XP per hour without doing anything.

Certified Grand Master achievement

While the other method gives decent experience but I found on average playing quick play to 30 lines to be a bit more work for around 1500-1700 XP per 2-3 minutes. I suppose it could take about a minute if you are really good at Tetris but most are not at that skill set.

I would recommend playing the mode ALL CLEAR as it takes about 1 minute to get roughly 1300-1700 XP with far less work and it helps towards many other achievements at the same time. I guess it comes down to preference but if you are not a Tetris God ALL CLEAR mode is better XP per hour.

When I completed this game, I created a spreadsheet that documented the Levels, XP/Level, Total XP, and Percentage of Level 100. I would recommend playing Quick Play: Constant Speed LV 1 and 30 Line Clear Goal and just go as fast as possible. I was getting around 1,700 XP every minute to 1.5 minutes.
