The easiest and fastest SS Rank I found is to score 10,000+ in Quick Play in Effect Modes.
The goal is simply to clear 30 lines. Time taken is irrelevant (so you don't need to rush) and with 8 consecutive Tetrises, you'll reach the target score. It shouldn't take much more than a minute or so per run.
edit: You must leave the default line clear goal of 30 lines, otherwise the rank requirement will no longer be 10,000 points.

Damn that's easy lol. I replayed the first 3 stages of journey mode over and over. You need 50k to get SS but that took longer and was a lot harder than this. Good solution man. +1

For some reason it didn't occur to me that you could keep replaying the same mode, lol. I thought it meant you had to have SS as your highest score on 10 different modes or levels.
