There are other helpful guides on this site for getting higher scores on this game, but if you're going for the Tin Medal, here is what you should know:
1 - It has to be done on Marathon mode, and you must reach 100,000 pts to unlock the achievement.
2 - Doing multiple Tetris is usually a good way to rack up a big score. A Tetris is when you clear 4 lines at the same time, usually by keeping only a straight column empty, until you get the 4-blocks aligned piece and insert it in.
So aim to create a compact chunk of pieces held together, except for a 1-block large column that you will only fill with straight bars. Only use the bars when the height of your pieces is 4-blocks high.

Pretty straightforward this. Just make sure that the goal system is set to ‘Variable’ otherwise you will only be able to get a maximum of 150 lines and this is sometimes not enough to get the higher scores. Also make sure to try and get as many back to back Tetrises as you can (clearing four lines at once) – as the points build up the more you get. So no 1, 2 or 3 line drops in between. Finally, be aware that you get bigger scores the faster the game gets, so if you are struggling once the level goes up then just go for single lines as at level 15 or so 1 line can be worth nearly 1000 points.
