How to unlock the Pilot gold medal achievement in The Adventures of Tintin The Secret of the Unicorn - The Game - Definitive Guide
This is prob one of the hardest cheevos to get (the only harder 1 being all platinum medals)
The plane challenges are not the easiest challenges to get gold/platinum however there is a way to make your life a little bit easier.
If you have a KINECT sensor you are in for a easier ride.
With the kinect you can do the photos and targets and it becomes very easy to get platinum medals (targets and times cutoffs are far lower).
Now go back to the controller and do the CTF stages and get gold. I can confirm this does work as on the controller screen i only have gold on ctf and none of the others (except on the kinect screen) and the cheevo popped for me.
If you dont have a kinect sensor im afraid your in for a lot of frustration as these will take alot of practice.
With thanks to Hiradc for the following tip
Added tip incase people like me don't read the tips much. after the initial boost you can see a bar about 3/4 of the way through your boost bar, if you time it right and press a again you get additional boost. obv you have to be careful when using this so you don't overshoot

If you do the plane challenges with both the Kinect and the controller, the system will count whichever method scored you a higher medal. I did all of the plane challenges with a controller first, scoring some golds and some silvers and bronzes, but gold on all capture-the-flag missions. This achievement popped for me while working on the Photography and Dogfighting missions when I completed the last one on which I had silver or bronze from the controller challenges. The medals earned from Kinect only show up on the Kinect menu, but I can confirm that you can get platinum on Photography and Dogfighting in the Kinect challenges and then do platinum on controller Capture-the-flag to get the gold and platinum achievements.

HiradC Added tip incase people like me don't read the tips much. after the initial boost you can see a bar about 3/4 of the way through your boost bar, if you time it right and press a again either on or after the bar (but before it runs out entirely) you get additional boost. obv you have to be careful when using this so you don't overshoot but on things like ctf, I think there's a limit of 4 boosts with the margin for 2nd boost getting smaller each time
