From the main menu select challenges.
Now select sword challenges.
There are only 4 sword challenges to complete and all are fairly easy. Complete all 4 and get gold on each for the cheevo.

When sword fighting simple use the left stick and move it side to side like a mad man to defeat most enemies and return bombs when thrown.

To block hold the A button and either press left/down on the left thumb stick to block in a set direction.

Most enemies are easy to defeat but some require a little more than hack and slash.

Ships cook:
Press A and wait for him to attack, if his attack swipes down ward hold the left stick to the left to block horizontally, if his attack swipes sidewards hold the left stick down to block vertically. Once you block quickly hit him and block again. repeat 2more times till hedead.

Double hatchet (cowboy looking dude):
Block horizontally and his hatchets will hit your sword for a few seconds and as soon as it stops drop ur block and attack.

Bombs:
Some people will throw bombs, when they are close enough they will be outlined with a blue circle, when this happens simply hack and slash to return it to the sender.

Getting platinum on these challenges is very very easy. Below are the scores i got which got me platinum medals and also the sword gold medal cheevo.

also can i add, when you are attacking the butcher press A and down for the side attacks and left for when he does the over the head shots
