The strategy is simple yet obvious, stay on the ground as much as possible and loop de loop with the wingsuit if you think you will miss the pot. However, I can confirm that supply crates DO COUNT towards the achievement. You will need to purchase the Mysterious Radio in the shop, which will then allow a green radio powerup to spawn. The Signal Amplifier allows you to upgrade the mysterious Radio, allowing more crates to show up from 1 powerup. By default, you get 2 crates, but fully upgrading it allows for 6 to drop at once. I hope that this helps you not get annoyed like I did trying to find pots since they don't always show up often.
