How to unlock the I'm on a Roll achievement in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Definitive Guide

This was the first achievement that I obtained in the game, playing at Super Hero difficulty. In the comic book store there is an arcade machine near the back. The arcade game consists of 4 rounds of enemies fighting you in a ring.
Simply mash on X to spam attacks and tap on Y when the enemies turn red or you see Spiderman's "Spidey Sense" over his head. If you defeat an enemy and there is not another one close, immediately hold right bumper to go into his targeting mode and select your next target so that you can continue your combo.
Note: It is not possible to continue your combo between rounds, so start your combo at the onset of the round.

You can get this during the very first fight in the game. You'll go up against 4 thugs who are loading boxes into the back of a van. On Hero difficulty, I was able to mix both normal strikes (X Button) & dodges (Y Button) into a combo that surpassed 42.

This was the first achievement I got on Super Hero difficulty I found that the same method from The Amazing Spider-Man part 1 works quite well. During the very first mission I kept using Web Rush on the enemies as it does no damage without the strike upgrade but it still builds up your combo you can even hold down the RB to go into the slowed time mode to get this.

The method I found easiest for this achievement, is to be on human difficulty, and go into the second combat challenge, any round is fine.
Hold off on beating up the enemies that appear, and try and lure them all out, when no more enemies appear, start hitting them with any combination of attack, and counter when needed, I got a 62 hit streak using this method.
It is very easy to get a combo of over 42, just need to have correct timing with counters when you need to do them.
