How to unlock the Ultimate Spider-Man achievement in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Definitive Guide

Maximum Carnage! level. Use seismic blast and restart the checkpoint once you get the XP. Make sure not to enter the green circle after killing all the enemies. It will trigger a cut scene.

You should get around 2500xp each time.

OK I managed to do this in one playthrough by some divine miracle, here's what I did- leveled up each suit one at a time, making sure not to switch until a suit was maxed out(and I never swapped between maxed out suits either, basically once I maxed out a suit, I never switched back to it, not even for combat challenges). When doing the Russian hideouts, I NEVER once auto-switched the suits when given the option after completing the missions(even if the suit I was currently wearing was maxed out). Following these steps I was able to get the achievement to pop right after I maxed out the final suit(last one I maxed out was the suit you get for beating the final mission).

So if you want this cheevo, maybe try those steps and see if it helps. Fastest and most efficient way to do this is to keep on doing the "Deadlock" scenarios on the map, as those give you over 1000 XP for finishing them, plus a few hundred XP for each enemy you take down, and there can be as many as 12 bad guys(plus sometimes after you defeat the grunts, you might end up having to face a leader or 3, which is usually either brutes or speedy's and they give you even more XP) so it adds up fairly quickly. After I finished the game I had about 5-6 suits maxed out and it took me a few hours to finish leveling up the rest, I muted the game and put on some podcasts in the background to help keep my attention.

Also i'd very strongly recommend doing this on the easiest difficulty (Human mode) for the sake of your own sanity.

Re-posting from the related forum thread

I did a second play-through, because that's confirmed to work for the suit achievement, I did nothing more than what was required to complete the story so that I could repeat the start of the final mission for ~2,500 experience a go. So I only had six suits unlocked, the three default, ultimate, ricochet, and carnage.

I leveled up the suits in order from left to right. The achievement did not unlock each time I leveled up a new suit to max. When I finally finished the ricochet suit again (only carnage was left) the achievement unlocked. I believe I am now at suit level 133 but I do not believe that suit level has much to do with it since everyone seems to get it at different levels.

Everyone seems to be unlocking the achievement, on their second playthrough, while having done a totally different number of suits. Some have done 1, 3, 5 (for me), 11, and all 13 in the base game. I see a lot of people who experience this issue mentioning either the carnage or ricochet suits. I would suggest leveling up the ricochet suit as soon as it becomes available. Even if you have to do a second playthrough, do ricochet as soon as possible. I believe that, for some reason, it was this particular suit that was somehow affecting the achievement.

It doesn't seem like it's based on suit level, the order you max out suits, how many times you max them out, etc. I think it's particular suits that are affecting the achievement because that's the only thing I can imagine which would explain WHY different people are getting it at totally different times.

What's the Max Level for each suit? Is it 5, or do you have to fill the bar while on 5?

Max level is 8. No need to fill bar once you hit 8.

Mine is stuck too. All of the costumes say max but when I go to look at the achievement it says it's at 98%. This happened to me on the true hero achievement as well. I filled that bar all the way up I don't know how many times and it never popped!!!

Same issue here, I've talked to xbox and Activision and they say it's the game expecting you to have dlc costumes. Anyway a fix is on the way.

Same here with 98%, we could try the trials/peggle method, of getting progress offline, then connecting back again to see if it unlocks.

So I had no issues getting this achievement without need for any extra suits. But I didn't play before it was fully installed that could be key

While Activision may say that it has to do with DLC costumes, I don't think it does. I have the Web Threads Pack and maxed those costumes as well, but still no unlock. I'm going to try the new game option, as that seems to be the only thing reliably working for people.

I considered that also, but since half of my suits did it on my first play-through and I was still able to get 98% it seems like it's only a visual bug. I would still suggest completing suits that have done this, first (on your second play-through) so that we might get a little more information.

However, yes, like we've both said it does seem to be ONE suit which breaks for people. How you tell which suit it is, I'm not sure.

I just unlocked it w/o glitching. Here is my scheme of maneuver:

-Didn't play the game till it finished installing.
-Played on easy mode since I thought I was going to have to play another playthrough since this cheeve was glitched.
-maxed out all suits in order except the arcade game suit. I saved that one for last.

I don't know if this helps anyone.

Ok so I thought I would share my grief/excitement with everyone going for this achievement. As of 2am this morning I had finished my final suit. I had no achievement and my progress was at 93%. I fired up my Xbox today at 3 pm and looked at my achievements to see that I had unlocked it.
I have only went through ONE playthrough. So i am confirming one playthrough is possible. I guess just give the game (or system?) some time to validate what you have done. I was prepared to grind through today with more suit XP but i guess ill go finish South Park [:

I would also add that for some reason your HERO level outside in the world affects how much xp you get. I would recommend getting it to level 3, then going to Peter's house for the mission replay.

This works quite well even if it is a tedious. It takes me 30 minutes to take a suit from level 1 to 8 using this method and the first time I did it I went from 670 kills to 1000 kills for the challenge laugh

I didn't have my seismic blast leveled up so I just did the Deadlock method. It was alot easier. Its about the same amount of XP. I had zero troubles with this achievement by the way. It unlocked after 100 suit levels. I played while it was installing also.

After doing a second playthrough I can gurantee that the exp bar not being full when you reach lvl 8 isn't the cause, since I just had that happen on the Flipside costume and the achievement unlocked at the same time.

It seems one (or multiple) costumes don't register properly on playthrough 1, though it seems to be random which it happens with.

The only thing I did differently in this playthrough is I never did the auto costume switch in the Russian Hideouts. It might be that switching there instead of at home messes up the tracking system (I had Flipside at lvl 7 on playthrough 1 and switched it in the Russian Hideout for the rewarded costume)

Beyond that its possibly purely luck based and random

I want to say that if you have DLC costumes that you have leveled, it may make things a little off with the calculations for this achievement.

I had the Black Suit at level 44, and went in to my progress screen - this achievement was at 80%. I maxed the Black suit and the progress went up to 84%.

I did not even touch any other DLC costume (all default level 1 with no exp) but I can not confirm this theory - I was also running around with other costumes during my "test" so I could have done something else, or the game could have recalculated the achievement progression.

However, if you find this achievement did not pop, and you have DLC costumes, it might be worth maxing those just to see if this one pops.

HEY! OP! change your post to say that this is a glitched achievement.

I'm currently stuck at 98% myself and even bought an extra suit for the 2 bucks just to run a test. Got that to level 8 and it still gives me the 98% completion. dumb glitched achievement.

I just received this achievement. After play-through 1 I was at 92%. I started play-through 2 and kept track of what suit and what level the percentage increased.

The amazing spider-man suit-lvl 8 gave 1%
The ultimate comic spider-man- lvl 4-8 gave 1% each (total 5%)
Spider-Carnage- level 8 gave 2%

Hopefully this helps some since my second play-through I leveled up 11 of the 13 suits.

I think Phillip Andrews is on the money. This is to do with Switching costumes before you fully level it.

I only switched once during a Russian hideout mission and that probably screwed me up.

The DLC suits don't count. The progress doesn't move when leveling the DLC suits, but for each level the progress for the achievement will move 1% (give or take depending on rounding). The each suit starts at level 1, that means there are 7 levels to gain for each suit (13 non-DLC suits).

7*13 = 91 suit levels
100% / 91 = 1.1% per suit level

If the progress isn't moving, you're upgrading a DLC suit. I wasted my time upgrading 4 of them before I noticed, so I snapped the achievement app, and watched the progress change as I gained one level on each non-DLC suit.

Since I couldn't remember which ones were DLC, here they are:
Iron Spider Suit
Cosmic Spider-man Suit
Black Suit
Spider-man Noir Suit
Electro-proof Suit
Ends of the Earth Suit

Similar to what Phernost said... this needs some planning before you start but what I did on my first play-through and ended up saving me some time was - I only maxed 1 suit at a time and as soon as I maxed a suit I checked the achievement tracker percentage. If the percentage was where I knew it should be then great but eventually after maxing my 10th suit the percentages were no longer where they should have been (1 or 2% lower than it should be). I carried on maxing the remaining suits and ended up with 98% - like a lot of people here. The suit where the percentages first messed up was the Hornet suit, so as this was the last achievement I needed I started a brand new game and went about maxing the Hornet suit as fast I could and as soon as I did the achievement popped.

Not perfect but might help save you a bit of time if you know exactly which suit you need to go after if it does glitch.

The achievement tracker on xbox rounds down I believe.
100% / 13 suits = 7.69%
so after your first suit maxed you should show 7% in achievement tracker
2nd suit maxed = 15%
....10th suit maxed = 76%
etc....

You should have all 13 suits, then maxed from 1 to 13. If its not unlocked then swing around city on menace and fight the military.

By Dippin Fox on 19 Mar 2015 03:34
I also got stuck at 98% after leveling up all 13 suits. I ended up playing a 2nd game and had to level 7 suits. My final suit was the Ultimate Spiderman suit, which happens to be the suit from the 1st hideout. I remember switching into that suit in the hideout after it unlocked. So my theory is that your glitched suit might be one you changed into when unlocking. Again people have had different experiences, but that was mine.

Can confirm Quizabuck above me.

The glitched suit was the only suit I changed into in a hideout (the Ricochet costume).

By Nod Nolan on 19 Apr 2015 22:45
I do not know if I had a glitched suit or not. On my second playthrough I just had to start leveling up every suit, though I made sure to not switch my suit during the completion of a hideout, I got this achievement on the 360 version without any problems and that is one thing that I did differently, of course the glitch may not be on the 360 version but I'm merely looking at any differences that I did or didn't do. So highly suggest to only switch costumes at the house.
Now I doubt the order of my suits matter to it's unlock but just so everyone has all the data I did:
Amazing (2014)
Amazing (2012)
Ricochet
Spider-Armor...popped

Good luck to all and to spare some frustration just skip through all cutscenes and conversations as fast as possible so that you can get the carnage level unlocked and start boosting. BTW don't forget to maximize your seismic blast ability before going into Ravencroft otherwise it'll be pretty difficult.

This popped for me September, 2015 no problem. I had a lot of trouble with achievements unlocking when I first got my Xbox One about a year ago. However, I personally find that they always do unlock. It does not matter whether it says "Done... Unlocking" or 97% (or whatever) and have completed the task. I always either have it when I get on one day or unlocks while I am playing.

I complete every game I play pretty much so this sort of stuff really bothers me. However, if you do not get an achievement right away be a little patient. Restarting your game and doing this a second time is probably a little hasty for many of you. Just wait it out and I would be willing to bet 90% of you will eventually get it.

Also I was able to get 2500-2900 per run. I also had to take out the guy on the glider prior to jumping down or he would follow.

My achievement glitched on me, I started the last suit at 92% and when I was done two night ago, the bar stayed at 98%. I didn't feel like starting over right away, so I shelved it for a bit WITHOUT DELETING MY PROGRESS and played something else. The achievement just popped 15 minutes ago while my console was paused on another game.

I would recommend that you all try that before deleting save data and starting from scratch.

I have a theory on why this is happening. I maxed out all 13, then replayed the story, and maxed out 10 suits. On my 10th suit, (2099), the achievement popped. But here's the thing. First, this is completely random. It's ONE SUIT that is glitching for you. And I think I know how to tell which one while you're playing so you can AVOID hours of replaying.

As I was grinding play through two, I kept thinking about one time during my initial grind, where a SUIT (can't remember which, but I'm going to guess it was 2099), I MAXED it out, where the green burst out and it said MAXED, however I distinctly remember the XP bar continuing to grow past level 8. At the time, I didn't think twice. But my theory is that for some reason, ONE or MORE of the suits continue past MAX XP. Keep an eye out, if you see that happening, keep filling it cause chances are that suit didn't count...

I just received this achievement yesterday. To note, I was stuck at 98% as well. Through my first play-through, I maxed out all 13 suits and finished at 96%. I started a second play-through and maxed out all 13 suits again and increased from 96% to 98%. A third play-through resulted in no further progress with all 13 suits maxed again.

After talking with Activision, which provides no support for this game, I read some additional online articles to attempt to get the last achievement in this game. I uninstalled the game and deleted my game save from both my Xbox One and the cloud. I re-installed the game and started with a fresh save.

I beat the game story on Hero difficulty, only maxing out 4 suits (2012, 2014, Ultimate Comics and Ricochet). At that point, I decided to complete the Challenges for my 4th time and get the Superior suit out of the way. Fortunately, that suit was all I needed, as the achievement popped when I maxed out that suit.

For those having the issue, I would suggest uninstalling the game, deleting your game save from both your Xbox One and cloud and re-install the game. Hopefully others have luck getting the last achievement.

WOW... what a glitchy achievement; I was checking the achievement app everytime Spider-Man levelled up to make sure it went up 1-2% to see if any of the suits didn't track, I fully level up Scarlet Spider and go to the app to see it climb to 69% (correct so far) and then drop in front of my eyes down to 46%! (that's 3 suits worth of progress).

Without exiting the app/game I shut down the console and restarted. App shows 69% again, let's hope when it reaches 100% it unlocks laugh

Not only is this achievement the most grindy in the game but it also has a tendancy to glitch (it appears to be a problem with the achievement tracker app) so here are some helpful tips to save you from having to do a 2nd playthrough:

- Stick to one suit at a time until it's fully levelled up (Max level is 8).

- Have the achievement tracker app snapped to the side of the game. Everytime you level up and glow green the app should increase 1% (sometimes 2%). If it does not go up at all then that level of the suit has glitched and you will need to do something about it.

What I did was everytime I levelled up I paused the game so that it wouldn't auto-save. If you notice that there was no percentage increase (it happened to me on my last level of the Scarlet Spider & Big Time suits) then hold the guide button and turn the console off straight away.

After restarting it should show the correct percentage but if it shows the wrong percentage then you will need to level up the suit again. You should be the level you were before the glitch occured.

- To help keep track of what percentage you should be at here is a list of what they should be when each suit is maxed out:

1st Suit: 7%
2nd Suit: 15%
3rd Suit: 23%
4th Suit: 30%
5th Suit: 38%
6th Suit: 46%
7th Suit: 53%
8th Suit: 61%
9th Suit: 69%
10th Suit: 76%
11th Suit: 84%
12th Suit: 92%
13th Suit: 100%

- Occasionally the achivement tracker app would, instead of going up, will go down a suits worth of progress (i.e. I would be at 69% and then it would drop to 46%, 23% and even once 0%). If this happens then pause and restart the console. It should fix itself.

That's about it; use the guide posted by Ecko3351 (it took me about 40 minutes per suit personally) to boost those levels and I wish you all good luck with this achievement.

I kept this in mind while going for mine, but at the end of it I got cocky and stopped paying attention and sure enough the last suit bugged out on me two nights ago. I was left at 98%. I shelved the game for a bit and started playing something else, and not 5 minutes ago the achievement popped while my console was paused on Shadow of Mordor and I was eating breakfast.

I would suggest that you add the following to your guide:

"If you do get stuck in a glitch, before resetting your progress just leave the game alone for a few days and play something else. It may fix itself and unlock randomly."

may also be helpful to know that the difficultly affects the amount of points you get by doing this method so you have changed the setting to an easier level you wont get as many points as the easiest setting nets you about 1500 per each fight.

The easiest way to boost experience is at the last level; in general, one suit takes 25-30 minutes.
The main thing is to completely improve the skill line: SEISMIC BLAST
You can’t earn that much on just one event in that amount of time.

I found a way to farm experience faster than replaying the same level. In general, it seems like the experience you get depends on the kombucha you filled. Therefore, the essence of fast farming experience is to fill the kombucha, I went through activities such as shootouts and minor incidents where I broke the trail. reception, as in the video guide (en).

How to do this, you pump up the energy web to stun enemies until you can simply wrap it up, leave one and fill the kombucha on it. By pressing and at the end of the animation, this is somewhere x2, x3 combo, cancel the animation by dodging . Don't rush to spam combos, as this may break the cancel animation and it won't happen, ending your streak.

According to my calculations, you need about 50k XP to level up one suit, if you manage to fill the kombucha at x950 - x1000 at a time, then you will level up the suit to MAX lvl right away, if you don’t, then in total you will have to fill a little more, I don’t know with what this may be related.

The potential of this method is about 20 minutes per suit, if you can get x950 - x1000, well, ad infinitum, the longest I downloaded was about 35 minutes, somewhere like that.

You need 13 costumes to reach the maximum level. The DLC suit called Electro-Proof Suit does not need to be upgraded.

It’s worth adding that the easiest way to level up after completing the story is at the “Deadlock” city event, because... it gives the most XP (from 2-3 thousand at a time). There are 8 levels in total for each of the suits, to maximally upgrade one suit you will need 6-7 playthroughs, we carry out a simple computational operation and it turns out that you will need to go through this event a total of about 50-60 times.
